Rich & fascinating exposure to an ancient culture !! - The area of Lake Atitlan is stunning for its natural beauty ! In addition to that, it is also rich in well - preserved Mayan culture, language, and practices. Our guide, Vick was very knowledgeable and passionate about sharing the culture with us !! - Great experience 😊

Cultural Immersion / Cultural Immersion - It was an inspiring and eye-opening experience. It was an inspiring and informative experience. We had a quick immersion into the indigenous culture and their development through a tour to the cooperatives, in San Juan, Atitlán. This was a reminder of the power of working together in community to craft a better future. Interesting Look into Mayan Culture - My friend and I were traveling to Guatemala for the first time and were mostly interested in seeing what life is like for the Mayan individuals living in these beautiful lakeside towns. Vick was extremely friendly, helpful, and took us to places you would never otherwise see, including local markets, a chocolate tour, a textile tour, and made recommendations for a delicious lunch that we shared at a lakeside restaurant. I would HIGHLY recommend him and will tell everyone to book with him when in Atitlan. Thank you Vick!

Learn about Lake Atitlán with Victor - Lovely day seeing the villages of Lake Atitlan with Victor. We added a private boat to our tour and got picked up at our hotel in Santa Catarina, toured San Juan, San Pedro, and Santiago. Victor knows right where to go and could explain the history and geography of each place. We stopped for a great lunch, walked a lot, boated across the lake back to our hotel at the end of the day. Would recommend this to anyone!

Short visit to Lake Atitlan - Vic was a terrific guide. Communication regarding meeting time and place was consistent and timely. It was our first time visiting Lake Atitlan with a short visit. It was great to have him navigate the boats and village visits so we could enjoy our short time here. Vic very knowledgeable about history and took us to places we’d never have found in our own. Highly recommend!

Amazing Educational Experience - Meeting Victor and having the opportunity to visit the communities around the lake and learning so much about their history, the culture, the ecosystem and how it has evolved was amazing. Victor is extremely knowledgeable and is happy to provide answers to all the questions. He was very kind, welcoming and all around an amazing guide. I will definitely be reaching out to him when I come back to Atitlán. Oh, and the spot he took me for lunch was incredibly delicious and the view was priceless! Highly recommend to tour with him.

Great local tour with a local - Vic GTours was a great guide. Came over to meet us at Panajachel and took us across to San Juan where we really enjoyed the local Mayan bee and honey tour as well as the Mayan women textile collective demonstration. The chocolate tour part was great as well, but we had done a chocolate tour already in Antigua. We then took a tuktuk to San Pedro where Vic is from and he was great at answering any questions we had. We then took the boat across to Santiago Atitlan and had a look at some local markets. Highly recommend. A great guide who was patient with all of our questions. He was going to ride with us back to Panajachel but we insisted that he stay in San Pedro as that is where he lives. Vic kindly organised our boat back to Pana.

Depends on what kind of tour yo're looking for... - My wife liked this tour. I didn't. Here's why: The boat rides: We were picked up by boat in Pana and went first to San Juan. A Tuk Tuk got us to San Pedro. Then, back on the boat to Santiago. The longest boat ride of the day was the return from Santiago to Pana. If you don't have a healthy back, these boat rides are not for you. They travel at fast speed through the waves and you are slammed into the benches repeatedly. My back's been out for many days afterward. Especially in San Juan, the guide brings you to specific businesses for a demonstration. It may be somewhat interesting to some, but for me it's like being herded into a series of Time Share presentations, with the tacit message that you should buy products at each stop. If you like to shop, and enjoy tourist presentations, you might enjoy this. Finally, there's the walking. I logged 15,000 steps on the tour. And a good part of it is uphill. if you don't have the stamina to handle this much exercise, I would advise considering a different type of tour.
