When in Emilia Romagna Choose Artemilia Tours! - If you ever want to experience what Emilia Romagna has to offer, Artemilia Tours is where you should start. We booked the Parma Hillside Private Food Tour and were not disappointed. Our guide Michelle made us immediately feel comfortable and easily switched between Italian and English to accommodate our family (travelling with our teen daughters who understand but do not speak Italian fluently). From the time we initially booked, I knew we were in good hands. Michelle reached out immediately to discuss a convenient meeting point in Parma, accommodating all our requests. I requested a hilltop lunch be added to our base tour and without hesitation, Michelle made it happen. She brought us to a wonderful restaurant with magnificent views of the Parma valley. Simply gorgeous! Michelle guided this tour with passion and kept us informed and entertained throughout the day together. Her knowledge of the region and in this case it’s amazing food heritage, was simply amazing. And yes the food tastings throughout the tour were delicious 😀 I would highly recommend Michelle and Artemilia Tours if you want to experience what Emilia Romagna has to offer.

Incredible insights into local food and history - The tour and tasting with Laura was absolutely incredible! She was extremely knowledgeable about everything at all three sites, and she appreciated everything we saw right there with us--from the beauty of the "dance' of making the Parmigiana Reggiano, through the love story of Bianca Pellegrino. It definitely felt, all throughout the tour, that we were going off the beaten path for the most authentic experience possible. I cannot recommend this tour with Laura highly enough.

Enriching and unforgettable day! - What a powerful experience! Michelle of Artemilia, our lovely guide. Outstanding competence and limitless passion for the arts, architecture, history and gastronomy of Parma. My children and I have visited local producers of Parma’s treasures: Parmigiano Reggiano, Prosciutto di Parma and traditional Balsamic Vinegar. We have met authentic Masters at work! They welcome us, showed us the production process and, of course, guided us through a delightful tasting of their finest products. We have all fallen in love with Parma and we certainly will see Michelle again for more!

Delicious and interesting all in one! - Michelle was absolutely fantastic. We took the train from Milan to Parma and they switched their pick up and drop off location for us to the train station. It probably added 45 min Rita for the tour. She is the most passionate and informative guide. We asked A LOT of questions and she knew all the answers. She clearly loves her city and it shows. Such a nice and fun person to spend the day with!!! Guido the driver was fantastic too on very very skinny roads!

You have to be there - Excellent tour. We had a morning in Parmigiano-Reggiani factory. It's was great. Amazing and informative to see the cheese making in progress. The salting room, nurturies and maturing caves. We got lucky a had a chance to taste Fresh Ricotta cheese 😊 it's not made every day. Afternoon in Antica Corte Pallavicina ... The Culatello museum. We got to find out about the history of the castle, region, black pigs, culatello and the Maestro Guiseppe Verdi. It's located in beside Po river in secluded fairy tale location. We got to taste all the cheese's, meats and salami. Thank you Michelle we couldn't think of better tour. 😊😊😊 💓💓💓
