Worth it!!! - 5 stars! This was a truly VIP experience. It was only the two of us, so we beat the crowds everywhere we went. It felt as if the island was ours and no one else’s. They picked us up at the hotel and went straight to the shore where we got on a speed boat and jetted towards the island. When we got there, there was NO ONE! We spent around 1.5-2 hours on the island and then went to have lunch in the other area of the island. Again, no tourists, just the two of us. After sunbathing, we went snorkeling and saw some starfish. Theo the tour guide offered to take some beautiful photos of us, we didn’t even have to ask. He provided drinks throughout the day (mostly, coke, water and rum which is what you need here anyway). He stopped by a supermarket on the way to the shore to get some drinks, so we could choose what drinks we wanted. That was on the house. Even though you pay twice as much compared to those tours where you get on a boat with 80 people, this price was well worth it. You can’t have a VIP experience without having to pay more. After all, you get what you pay for. I’ve been to Isla Saona before (regular $80/person tour) and we were packed like sardines. $160/person was well worth it. Another important detail is that I stayed in touch with the company via WhatsApp, well before we even arrived in DR. I was able to confirm my reservation, make sure they pick us up at the right hotel etc. I had some questions and they were all answered in a timely manner. I can’t recommend them enough!

I had a great time - Great sailing with Katamaran en beautiful beach on the island. People who drink alcohol will be happy, all day (i mean from early in the morning) get free alcohol on board and on the beach. Lunch is good but be one of the first in line for food otherwise your plate wil be almost empty. Anyway it will be a great day even without alcohol or food. I would like to stay there for a couple of nights if it was possible. First stop if you ask me , the natural pool they should skip. It's almost the same beach as on the island. It wil give you more time to spend it relaxing on the island as we were only 2 hours on the island.

Pathetic - Where to start... let s start with the good bit. The beach on the island is very nice. But.... This operation is borderline a scam and is certainly totally fly by night, even by local standards. It took us 6 hours to reach the island from Bavaro. 2h30 of minibus collecting other clients, going to run some of the guy errands and what have you. Then one hour on the boat waiting again for other clients, finally 2h of crossing on the catamaran (old junker) . When you get to the island, the horrible food is served and done in 20 min. 2h later, you go back on the boat (2h on the island for 5-6h transport), and the faster boat takes you to swim with a couple of fish and to the very nice sandbank. Then it is in the minibus again for 1-2hours return depending on your stop. All that for $65 per head that I would have happily paid just to be saved the ordeal of going on that day trip. Save yourself a day in hell and use another operator.
