Super fun, great guide - This was fun and challenging at times. Christopher was our guide and did a great job finding what animals he could and getting some howler monkeys worked up. We saw a tiny Sloth butt, a medium crocodile and 2 tiny ones, iguana, several birds and a few monkeys. The treat was stopping the tour bus to finally see 2 large sloths up close and also a little baby Sloth. The kayak float on the river was great and the tortilla snack and drinks at the end were delicious. Only thing I would suggest is a little more info on how to prepare for the trip. What to bring, what not to bring, extra clothes if you want. Things for people to think through if they have never kayaked before. Chris was funny and made sure everyone had a great time and once on the water it was very peaceful.

A wonderful relaxing way to spot wildlife in their natural habitat. - We had our trip with the company Caribbean Winds. They picked us up promptly from our lodge and drove us all the way to the river. Our wonderful guide was Carlos who chatted to us on the journey telling us all sorts of snippets of information about Costa Rica and what to expect on the trip. The journey down the river was magical… it was just myself and my husband- so we got to drift along in silence for a while just listening to the sounds of nature. We stopped along the way to eat some super sweet pineapple and plant a little almond tree on the bank which is a lovely contribution towards helping the erosion problem along the river. Along the way Carlos was fabulous company, and had eyes like a hawk! We spotted two and three toes sloth, Capuchin and howler monkeys ( a whole group of them! ) plus many birds and a cayman . We finished by a farm where we disembarked. The driver, Fabian was waiting for us and they drove us back to our lodge. I highly recommend this company- The marvellous thing is that Carlos really took his time to spot the wildlife and is genuinely passionate about the animals. We were in the river for three hours.

Do it! - We had a great guide who pointed out many animals. The monkeys and little bats were a favorite. Good to see a croc too!

Must do the kayaks! - We loved seeing the monkeys. We rented the kayaks instead of the raft. It was much better experience

Wonderful guide and great experience - My daughter has to go alone as I was unwell. She had an amazing time and really enjoyed the tour. She said her guide Roy was excellent and really looked after her, showing her all the animals. She saw a baby crocodile, iguanas and monkeys. Just disappointed that I couldn’t go. Thank you for a great experience for her.

Great for families & beginners - This was such a fun adventure for our family (kids ages 12 & 13). We've been kayaking a couple times on lakes, but never on a river, and we found the river and it's current to be a much more enjoyable experience. It just pulls you right along and doesn't require a ton of effort to kayak - mostly just directing the boat in the right direction. There were some families doing the raft tour along-side us, so we're seeing the same scenery/animals, but our method of transport seemed more fun. A great way to experience nature! Highly recommended!

Amazing guides and experience! Best experience of our vacation!! - What a wonderful trip! We were picked up right on time and the adventure began. We were very fortunate to have a small group! Right from the start Christopher and Lidia (spelling?) were personable and informative. They made sure everyone had what they needed for a great day. Throughout the trip they made sure everyone was safe and seeing as much as possible. Christopher knew an amazing amount about everything we were seeing. When my husband and I got overly excited about seeing a Toucan and unexpectedly dumped ourselves in the river we were quickly helping us out and safely getting us back in the boat. I appreciated their good spirits about it all as it was highly embarrassing!Lidia even was able to save my phone. Thanks Lidia!!!! The trip ended with a delicious snack and presentation on Costa Rica's cocoa industry. Yum!! I would do this trip in a heartbeat. Both Christopher and Lidia made us feel like friends. They and the other staff were all wonderful. If you enjoy wildlife, fun, and floating down a river do not miss this trip!

Conao Aventura Kayak Safari Tour - The tour was great. we had an awesome guide and saw many cool animals, birds, a crocodile etc. Although, the guides did not specify that the people who are kayaking do NOT have a meal included at the end like the rafters do. my girlfriend and I are here on a budget so we unexpectedly had to pay for our meal at the end. It should have been more clear to us that the meal was not included with our kayak tour. I also feel we should have been accommodated because it was not clear. Everything else was great beside that.
