Kayaking - It was a great trip. The scenery was beautiful, the river was carrying us down with a comfortable speed. We were kayaking and felt safe, encountered only a few small (maybe class 1) rapids. A guide was in kayak close to us, most of the time guiding us through the safe passages.

Our family loved it! - My family (including two 15-year olds and one 8-year old) had a great time on this tour. After a quick review on how to steer and turn, our guide (Beto) took our kayaks in front of the rafts that everyone else was riding in, and it felt like a private experience. He pointed out lots of animals, including two crocodiles, howler monkeys, iguanas, blue herons, kingfishers, and a few other birds. He also took lots of photos of our group and the animals we saw. It was a fun and beautiful experience. I highly recommend this tour!

Super fun, great guide - This was fun and challenging at times. Christopher was our guide and did a great job finding what animals he could and getting some howler monkeys worked up. We saw a tiny Sloth butt, a medium crocodile and 2 tiny ones, iguana, several birds and a few monkeys. The treat was stopping the tour bus to finally see 2 large sloths up close and also a little baby Sloth. The kayak float on the river was great and the tortilla snack and drinks at the end were delicious. Only thing I would suggest is a little more info on how to prepare for the trip. What to bring, what not to bring, extra clothes if you want. Things for people to think through if they have never kayaked before. Chris was funny and made sure everyone had a great time and once on the water it was very peaceful.

A wonderful relaxing way to spot wildlife in their natural habitat. - We had our trip with the company Caribbean Winds. They picked us up promptly from our lodge and drove us all the way to the river. Our wonderful guide was Carlos who chatted to us on the journey telling us all sorts of snippets of information about Costa Rica and what to expect on the trip. The journey down the river was magical… it was just myself and my husband- so we got to drift along in silence for a while just listening to the sounds of nature. We stopped along the way to eat some super sweet pineapple and plant a little almond tree on the bank which is a lovely contribution towards helping the erosion problem along the river. Along the way Carlos was fabulous company, and had eyes like a hawk! We spotted two and three toes sloth, Capuchin and howler monkeys ( a whole group of them! ) plus many birds and a cayman . We finished by a farm where we disembarked. The driver, Fabian was waiting for us and they drove us back to our lodge. I highly recommend this company- The marvellous thing is that Carlos really took his time to spot the wildlife and is genuinely passionate about the animals. We were in the river for three hours.

Must do the kayaks! - We loved seeing the monkeys. We rented the kayaks instead of the raft. It was much better experience

Conao Aventura Kayak Safari Tour - The tour was great. we had an awesome guide and saw many cool animals, birds, a crocodile etc. Although, the guides did not specify that the people who are kayaking do NOT have a meal included at the end like the rafters do. my girlfriend and I are here on a budget so we unexpectedly had to pay for our meal at the end. It should have been more clear to us that the meal was not included with our kayak tour. I also feel we should have been accommodated because it was not clear. Everything else was great beside that.
