Into the Heart of the Rainforest

As a seasoned surfer, I’ve spent countless hours riding the waves and soaking up the sun along the coasts of Central America. But every now and then, I crave a different kind of adventure, one that takes me away from the ocean’s embrace and into the heart of the land. That’s how I found myself in San Ramon, Costa Rica, ready to embark on the La Fortuna Wildlife Tour—a journey into the lush, vibrant rainforest that promised a world of wonders.

The moment I stepped into the rainforest, I was enveloped by a symphony of sounds—the rustling of leaves, the distant call of exotic birds, and the gentle hum of insects. The air was thick with the scent of earth and foliage, a refreshing change from the salty breeze of the ocean. Our guide, Gustavo, was a local expert with an infectious passion for the wildlife that called this place home.
