Had a great time! Amazing experience overall! - Hello I’m from Mexico City and had the best experience traveling to El Salvador. My tour was in Spanish but my guide also provides service in English, therefore I write it in English! My guide was Alfredo Diaz! He explained in detail the history of the Mayan sites, ecological information about the country and its flora and fauna and he shared details about the geological conditions of the country. He knows very well the mountains and volcanoes names and history. He was very respectful and professional. As an additional detail: I’m a transgender person and my guide was respectful all the time, we even talked about the political history of El Salvador and he explained a lot to me that i had no idea.

Great tour! - This was an awesome experience! The day we went, a hurricane was coming through, so the volcanoes were completely obstructed and we weren’t able to walk into the crater, but the mayan sites were really interesting, and we had a great guide who was able to make accommodations for us to see as much as was safe and possible. Our guide, Alfredo, was so knowledgeable and energetic, and he gave demos of different things we would be seeing along the way. He made for a great experience and made sure we got lots of great photos. Would recommend, and I would do it again to see the volcanoes because I was disappointed that it was unsafe and impossible to see.

Mayan tour guide provided a lot of detail that would not be available otherwise - The guide was of Mayan ancestry. He described not just what the buildings were used for, but also some of the details of their lives, pointed out the trees that were of significance to them and why, how they used them etc. The volcano part was not what I expected, as the volcano is dormant and has been taken over by the jungle so it was more of a jungle walk. The views on this part were really spectacular though,
