Don’t skip this tour! - I can’t recommend this tour enough! My best friend and I were spending 3 days in El Salvador and saved this tour for our last day. It was an incredible way to end our trip. Our guide was Gerson. We had great guides for our other tours but honestly, Gerson (and Caesar!) was our favorite. It was just me and my friend so it was a very personalized tour. We saw SO much! Including the man and his exercise buddy (I won’t ruin the surprise but ask about it!) which Gerson hadn’t even seen before! He taught us so much about the history of El Salvador and San Salvador as well as the culture and life there. He made sure we saw all that we could and asked if there were other things we wanted to see. The best part was that we felt so safe. Two women in San Salvador…part of me was nervous beforehand but it’s really safe there and having someone else with us helped too, of course. My friend and I had previously considered just walking around but within 15 min of the tour, we knew we’d never see what we saw with Gerson or learn as much as we did. He was personable, informative, super nice, and hilarious. And the pupusas??!! I could live on those pupusas alone (and we learned how to eat them the “right” way lol) By the end of the day, it felt like we were spending time with two friends (who introduced us to some great music too!). We spent the day walking the city, learning, laughing, and making great memories. I truly hope to be able to go back and I’d love to take another tour with EC, especially if we can get the same guide! Thank you so much for the incredible experience, EC and Gerson! If you’re on the fence about this tour, book it. You won’t be disappointed.

San Salvador in One Day - We got to see San Salvador’s main attractions, including El Boquerón, with knowledgeable and friendly Melissa, our excellent tour guide. The pupusa tasting was a plus. William, our driver, also five stars. A flawless and fantastic experience.

Fantastic guide & wonderful tour - I had high expectations for the tour and it exceeded them due to the truly wonderful guide, Yesenia. She actively listened to what we were interested in seeing and adjusted on the fly as things caught our interest. I felt like we saw all of the main tourist sights as well as sights/areas only visited by locals. It was truly the best of both worlds. She is also a fantastic storyteller and did a wonderful job of explaining the city/country history and all the sights/areas we visited. A tour is a tour, but a guide is what makes a trip great and Yesenia made our trip great. Next time in San Salvador, I would take additional tours with her.

Just book it! - I had a wonderful tour mostly due to my wonderful guide and driver, Wendy and Walter. They made me feel comfortable and were great to talk with. You can tell Salvador is new to tourism in the city but it was great to experience it and learn how people have been living the past few years. The beautiful churches and the new library were some of the highlights of the city. The volcano was an easy hike with a beautiful view of the crater within the crater. Now the pupusas… AMAZING!! Need to try them all. If you are lucky to have Walter as your driver.. ask him to sing the pupusa song 😊

Super recommended - I went to El Salvador to see and decided to look for a tour agency. I found them on Google, and I must say that the people who assisted me, the guide: Jocelyn Mar and the driver César, have been phenomenal in their attention. Jocelyn Mar, is an excellent guide, I told her that I did not want to be the typical tourist and that I really wanted to see El Salvador and she took me to walk through the markets, and where Salvadorans live, then to the historic center and its modern library, Jocelyn Mar, knows very well the stories of the places where they took me and always with that smile and excellent service. The next day we went to the flower route, to visit small towns, which are very beautiful and colorful, to take very beautiful photos and to drink delicious coffee from the area. I said goodbye to them with a promise that I would return to do another tour with them, to go to the beach. Guys, if you read this: they are 5 stars, continue with that love for your work and your country 🫶🏻

Amazing City Experience! - This was our second activity with EC Tours and we got Lisbeth again as our guide as well as the same driver, Walter. It was another hit! They picked us up at our airbnb in Escalon and we it was just us, so very personal. Lisbeth was amazing again, taking us to several of the incredible churches in the city, sharing history and a lot of conversation about the country, culture and background that really gave a fuller picture of everything for us first-timers in El Salvador. We also checked out the brand new modern library - amazing - and walked around the city center quite a bit seeing the markets and other significant buildings. We then went up to El Boqueron and saw the crater and then stopped for a wonderful meal and view while up there. I enthusiastically recommend!

Great day! - Wonderful tour today! I did the tour on a Monday afternoon and my tour guide was Jocelyn. I ended up being the only guest so if was a one on one tour. Joc made me feel very comfortable and answered all my many questions. She also have her personal insight into growing up in Salvador. This was the best way to experience the city! Definitely do this tour before Santa Ana.

Can't Wait for Our Next Tour - We had a fantastic experience with guide David and driver Aless. David is a wealth of information about the history of San Salvador and we learned so much. Even though it was only a half day tour, it was not rushed and we felt like we had the opportunity to see and experience a lot. Planning to return for a longer trip next time so we can take a full day tour. Muchas gracias a David y Aless!
