Amazing Volcano and Charming Town! - Amazing views of El Boquerón, with the best picture spots recommended by our tour guide Osmaro! Then Suchitoto was so beautiful and colorful! Osmaro is so fun, nice and helpful! What an awesome combo tour! It was a great first experience outside of the city of San Salvador for my family!

Fun day with a great guide. - I highly recommend this company. Osmaro, our guide was absolutely brilliant! He picked us up and took us to see Sochitoto and back safely. He has an excellent command of the English language and a vast knowledge of El Salvadorian history. He explained everything in detail and was able to answer all of our questions. A very socialable and accommodating guide. I only wish that we could have gone on another day trip with him. A great day.

Exceeding my expectations - I went on this tour and it turned into a surprise tour of the history of El Salvador with live interviews from people on the front lines of the civil war! I honestly didn’t expect much from El Salvador at all but this company showed me around and exceeded my expectations to the point that I will be returning with much much more time next time!

Fun tour! Would do again - This was a good tour led by Rafael [Rafa]. It ended up being a bit longer than originally scheduled because 1) there was just sooo much traffic on the freeway between El Boqueron and Suchitoto, and 2) because Rafa made the trip personalized for me and the other person on the tour. I liked that. He made sure to point out the things we seemed interested in most. We starterd with the rainbow slide at Picnic Steak House. I saw this while I was researching things to do in El Salvador - and because the line for the slide can get really long, we did it first. We were the first ones to ride it that morning! That set off the tour in such a positive way. Then we explored the volcano and El Boquero National Park, which was lovely. Then we made our way to Suchitoto. We stopped at this awesome restaurant [Cafe 1800] that had an amazing view of Lake Suchitlan. The food was good and very inexpensive. Then we toured the city, and even got a nice watermelon ice cream. After that we went off to Downtown San Salvador and walked around listening to the music and watching the locals dance. It was amazing. I really did have a great tour. Thank you Rafa.

Osmaro was a fantastic! - Osmaro, the guide, was fantastic! Super knowledgeable and friendly, he was the key to a wonderfully packed day of site seeing. We started in the historic center before it got too hot and then headed for cooler altitudes and a hike to the lush volcano at El Boquerón. We then had a great lunch of pupusas before heading to Suchitoto, a charming colonial town. As a bonus, before heading into town, Os took us to a beautiful waterfall for another short hike and then some amazing views of a nearby river. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour and especially Osmaro, who provided great context, current and historical, of what we saw.

Please take the time to update the itinerary on Trip Advisor / Viator - I am not sure if this is Trip Advisor fault or Operator fault but the tour description did not match the actual itinerary AT ALL, which sadly resulted in a less than satisfactory experience for me. I was looking for a half-day-ish tour with very specific points of interest. Instead we stopped at many other places and by the time the tour headed to Suchitoto I had to leave the group because I was not planning on spending 10 hours on the road. The itinerary clearly says: Approximately 6 hours (I realize it’s approximate, I could have dealt with 7-8 but not 10) First stop supposed to be El Boqueron 1hr, then historical center 45min, then Suchitoto 1hr Instead we left at approximately 8:30, our first stop was at Antiguo Cuscatlan, we visited an old historical monument which is due to be taken down soon At about 10AM we made it to Historic Center At about 11:30 we came up to volcan San Salvador which was not even in El Boqueron park but the view was still pretty good. At 12:15 we sat down to have lunch (which was very good admittedly) At 1:30 we went to ride the rainbow slide which I admit was fun but this is NOT what I signed up for. At 2:00 I asked Osmaro to drop me off anywhere because a trip to Suchitoto was going to take another 4 hours or so and I did not have that kind of time Bottom line, Osmaro is an excellent tour guide and this tour could have been a lot of fun HAD the tour description been correct. I’ve taken many tours and never really ran into this kind of issue before. PLEASE take the time to update the description on Trip Advisor, as I don’t think it is fair to pay for a semi-private tour and be taken somewhere you didn’t want to go.
