The San Vicente volcano, ranking as the second-tallest in El Salvador, presents a rigorous challenge for adventure seekers. Our expeditions commence at Agua Agria Canton, from where we scale this towering giant, navigating through a cloud-cloaked forest until we successfully secure the ‘peace summit’ at 2125 meters. Thereafter, we explore the site of the 1995 Aviateca aircraft accident from Guatemala. Concluding the adventure, we head to ‘infiernillos’ to observe the volcano’s geysers in action, before making our way back, to be collected from the town of Verapaz.
