Memorable Trip - Well planned trip, picked up by Mr Amran and our lovely female driver Ann. Comfortable air conditioned bus. Arrived at Sepilok in time for viewing the nursery and the 9.30 feeding. We then went to Labuk Bay Proboscis Sanctuary and were able to see the monkeys without a crowd of people. We had a lovely lunch and rest at Sepilock Jungle Resort and then returned to Sepilok for the Sun Bears and afternoon feeding. Less crowds in the afternoon but less activity by the animals. The tour was pricey but great only 4 of us on the mini bus. Amran very informative about the primates. Memorable holiday and saw it all in one day. Took some wonderful photos

Sepilok Orang Utan, Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkeys and Sun Bear tour - Fantastic with Sepilok Tropical Wildlife Tours. FAB - We had an Awesome day with Sepilok Tropical Wildlife Tour. Rasa Ria Resort planned the trip thanks to Ridhwan on the front concierge. Picked up at 4.30 by private car and taken to The airport port. 45 mins after take off we were landing at Sandakam. Then met up with two other guests from OZ for a packed day from start to finish. Stop 1. Coffee and local breakfast cake roll thing. And the loo. Stop 2. Speilok Orang Utan Sanctuary. All animals are within the jungle. It is you who is controlled and put in little boxes. You walk on platforms high up within the jungle and stop at observation towers. Halim, our guide was informative and knowledgeable. Answered all the questions we had. The orang Utans all have names and features that the keepers can tell them a part from. We started with baby feeding time to go onto the big boys. All fun to watch as they SRAN into action when food appeared. After a rather warm morning it was off to Stop 3. the Proboscis Monkeys who are a little unusual to say the least. Stop 4. Around 1.00 now. Lunch at the Banana cafe. Rather good! Don’t believe all that you read. Some people want the Ritz in the middle of a jungle area! Don’t forget that loo stop!!!! Stop 5. The Sun Bears also called Honey bears although they should be called horny bears as one climbed over his ares fence and now there is a baby sun bear. Stop 6. Back to Orang Utans for afternoon din dins Stop 7. Back to the airport for 4.00 to get the 5.15 plane back arriving home by 8.00 for a shower and evening dinner……..phew! Expensive yes, approx £220 each all in, cars and flights you can see where the costs build up. Worth it……YES.

Facinating visit which we thoroughly enjoyed. - Visit is very well planned starting with a video of the work being carried out by the Malaysian government and the OrangUtanuk charity . We paid the 10MR to take our camera but no charge for mobile phone pictures. However when the mother and her baby came to eat at the feeding station I just enjoyed the moment and didn’t take many photos. In the memory banks. Our guide took us on to the nursery where the baby orphans were to be fed too. Watched them from behind glass -to protect them from us -but they were fun to watch and very playful. Congratulations to the staff and all the volunteers for the great work they are doing to conserve this amazing man of the forest. Manynthanks
