Highlights
- Holy Loch - We start and end here in the Holy Loch, Dunoon. Learn about its history from ancient times, through the wars and up tioll the present. There may also be a chance to see sonar images of some WW2 landing craft which were sunk here.
- MV Captayannis - Once we have reached the famous Sugar Wreck and our skipper has told you the story of…
- Holy Loch - We start and end here in the Holy Loch, Dunoon. Learn about its history from ancient times, through the wars and up tioll the present. There may also be a chance to see sonar images of some WW2 landing craft which were sunk here.
- MV Captayannis - Once we have reached the famous Sugar Wreck and our skipper has told you the story of how she sank, we will get some hot/cold refreshments served on board, and take a slow trip all the way around this shipwreck. You are welcome to take as many pictures as you like and ask as many questions as you like. We will keep a close eye out for all sorts of wildlife around here such as gannets, seals, and porpoise. We may even see some military vessels in the vacinity. Once we are satisfied, then it is off to the next stop on our Northern Clyde Tour.
- Carrick Castle - Another destination on our Northern Clyde Tour is 14th Century Carrick Castle, situated on the beautiful shores of Loch Goil and in the shadows of the magnificent hills behind. Keep an eye out for Sea Eagles and other birds of prey as they nest in the forests here.
- Coulport - The second largest floating concrete structure in the world lies not far from our starting point. We pass this on route to the wonderful Carrick castle.
- Little Cumbrae Lighthouse - Hop onto this enchanting uninhabited island and venture up towards the second oldest lighthouse in Scotland. Enjoy stunning views over towards the islands of Bute, Arran and Ailsa Craig.

Another great trip out with Jason - Another short trip up to dive with Jason at Wreckspeditions was a roaring success. Although the weather gods were against us, Jason's skills and local knowledge meant we were able to dive both days - the Akka, Gantocks, Seagull, and Landing Craft.
Jason makes it look easy, his dive briefs are excellent, and the apres dive care on and off the boat is second to none.

Very professional ! - Went up to Dunoon to dive 4 wrecks in the Clyde. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great so we had to change plans but we still managed to get 4 wreck dives in over a 2 day period. Jason, the equipment and buildings are all first class - everything is super professional with the best dive briefings.

Exceptional Diving with Wreckspeditions - We had an incredible day with Jason from Wreckspeditions! Eight of us dove the Akka and Peacock wrecks, and Jason made the experience seamless from start to finish. His expertise as a skipper and diving instructor shone through, from assisting with kit and equipment to perfectly placing the shot lines.
Surface pickups were smooth and topped off with the highlight of the day—Jason’s hot chocolate, which honestly gives Starbucks and Costa a run for their money!
We also enjoyed chatting with him about his inspiring work with Ghost Fishing UK. A fantastic day out that we’d highly recommend to any diver. Thanks, Jason!

Dive day - Fantastic skipper , very knowledgable and safety is top priority , dropped us perfectly to meet the shot line down to the wrecks we dived , Jason’s help getting kitted up is 2nd to none 👌🏻 post dive hot drinks & festive mince pies were just what we needed once safely back aboard the starfish enterprise , can’t wait to get back for another great day !

100 out of 10, would recommend!! - Jason was absolutely AMAZING on our recent trip to the lochs!!! He quite literally saved our club trip after we experienced problems with filling cylinders! He went out of his way to accommodate our needs, gave us invaluable advice about dive sites and accompanied a couple of us on one of our pleasure dives. If I could give him a 10 star rating, I would!! And he would get an extra 3 for the amazing hot choccie and flapjack ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Scuba Diving & RYA Powerboat Course - April 2024:
Another fantastic weekend’s diving with Wreckspeditions followed up by the RYA Powerboat training course. The course was delivered brilliantly by Jason and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Wreckspeditions’ convenient onsite classroom made the theory easy to learn, utilising fun visual aids and hands on examples. The group had plenty of opportunity to practice at the helm, building on skills progressively over the two-day course, starting first in the Holy Loch and then out into the Upper Clyde.
Nov 2019:
The Starfish Enterprise was fully equipped and tailored for a stress free diving experience. The real star however is hands down the flapjack wizard and twin set hauling Skip Jason. He is very welcoming and provides an outstanding professional service. We will be back with more divers for sure, thank you for a fantastic Wreckspeditions! Sheffield Scuba.

Great 2 days diving! - 7 of us divers from the university of Sheffield sub aqua club (SUSAC) headed up to spend 2 days on Jason's boat diving some scenic dives and also 2 wrecks. We had a great time, Jason was a consummate professional and doesn't make a half bad hot chocolate. Highly recommended and it's nice to know there is a boat going out year round rather than just the summer season!
