Great way to see the highlights of Johannesburg in a day - We had a wonderful full day with Tsholo. He was on time, very knowledgeable, and was a great driver. He took his time and answered all of our questions and thoroughly explained the significance of the stops. We were two women traveling together and he always made us feel safe. I would absolutely recommend this tour.

A Packed Day Seeing Johannesburg - Our guide, Banele, picked up on time at our hotel in Johannesburg. We are a family of 4, 2 in our 50’s and 2 in our 20’s. We were the only ones on our tour in a clean van. Our 21-year-old was not thrilled at the thought of a full day tour, but even she felt like it was a great day learning about Nelson Mandela and Apartheid and seeing the city. Our guide was so knowledgeable and was a great driver even when negotiating heavy traffic without stoplights working at times. We always felt completely safe with him. He told us about the history of Joburg as we drove and gave us an overview before each stop. He took care of getting all the entry tickets. We had separate site guides at the Old Fort Jail and the Mandela House in Soweto. Banele walked us through the low-class part of Soweto, and we again felt completely safe. He had lived there previously and knew the people there. Getting to step inside a woman’s tiny home was a highlight of the day. Banele was very organized and was always waiting for us right where he said he would be when we he gave us time to explore at our own pace at a couple of stops. He spoke excellent English and was easy to understand. He also took us to a nice local restaurant that served an African cuisine buffet which we enjoyed (at your own cost). Banele did not volunteer his life story to us but when we asked questions, it was so inspiring to hear his story. We felt like seeing the good and bad parts of the city and learning more about the history of Nelson Mandela and the history of Apartheid were very important in making a visit to South Africa. We also saw how we all have the same hopes and dreams for our children even when we live in very different. circumstances. We highly recommend others spend a day on this tour!

Best way to see Johannesburg - If you want to learn about the rich history of the area and the current day lifestyle, do this tour. Very eye opening. Your guide is like talking to a history teacher. They take you places other tours don't go. Highly recommended if you really want to know Johannesburg.

All day Tour of Johannesburg - We did the all day tour of Joberg with Banele. It was a great experience since we saw many things we would have missed since we only had one day in Johannesburg. Banele was on time, very knowledgeable and fun! We highly recommend!
