"I did it my way!" So can you! - Very easy to find kiosk 1 coming off the Icon of the Seas. Booked a 4 hour private tour. Took a little longer. No problem. No extra money. Did my research before I went to find what things to do that was in my interest. First stop was the monkey and sloth sanctuary which is owned by Victor Bodden company. $10.00 pp for entrance. Plus $80.00 for private tour. Paid total there. Another guide escorts you through the premises. Then I went to West End. Small public beach and many stores and restaurants on the Main Road alongside the beach. Did not see a lot of taxis. Not good if you on a cruise. Hondorus is 1 hour behind the United States. So, if you want lunch keep that in mind. Sent 2 hours there. Then I went to the other side of the island to see West Bay. The driver took us down a small beach road to end up in a hidden gem. It was the Argentinian Bar and Grill Hotel with a private beach. $20.00 pp for a day pass. Hotel rates about $200.00 per night. Appreciated that surprise stop. Contemplate going there if I return. Then I wanted to go to the Cameo factory. Artwork jewelry etched out of shell. An Italian owns this place. If you do not go there, then you have to go to Italy. Fact on the internet. A medium size Cameo pendant was $40.00. Not bad. Then a 10 min ride to the cruise port. Not walkable. My driver Raymond was very patience and kind. Much cheaper than a shore excursion and you customize your day. Highly recommend! "Life Well Cruised" on u tube was right about this Victor Bodden Tour Company.

Fantastic Fernando!! Custom Roatan Tour. - First and foremost, Fernando Paz was excellent. He greeted us just outside of the cruise port with a welcoming smile and eagerness to share his island with us. Unlike most guests, we were looking for something different. We were not looking for the standard, snorkel, zip-line or beach bum experience. We really wanted to feel like an out of towner visiting a friend. We wanted Fernando to take us around his island and tell us about life on Roatan. Of course, we had to see the sloths and monkeys but that was the extent of tourist stuff!! With a morning stop to the animal park out of the way, we casually visited various places and eateries at the recommendation of Fernando. We shared stories about our families over a great lunch with an amazing view. Driving around the island is a hectic situation. Fernando drove with confidence and always made us feel safe. Even in crazy traffic, Fernando was conversational and entertaining. It was an absolute pleasure meeting Fernando and getting to know about his life and the island he loves. We are so happy to have a new friend in Roatan and hopeful our paths cross again soon. Thanks again, Mark & Tara.

Kenya was the best tour guide! - Kenya was our guide. Very friendly and informative. She showed us the island and took us to the Monkey and sloth sanctuary. She also drove us to the chocolate factory. We thoroughly enjoyed our time.

Great time for our Group! - We had a group that Victor Bodden customized for a group of 16 of us - hired a driver for the day, told them the few things we wanted to do, they did the rest. Of course did the Sloths & Monkeys, also the Rum Cake factory, chocolate factory, and island highlights/scenic overlooks for pictures. Suggested a great lunch spot, family owned and run right on the water - Annie's. Highly recommend this company.

Excellent way to experience Roatan - My partner and I visited in February 2025. The excursions offered through our cruise line were limited, and the private tour that Victor Bodden offers was a very convenient and affordable way to experience multiple activities in a custom itinerary.
Victor was very communicative and provided clear information and instructions during booking and in the lead-up to our trip.
Our tour guide Fernando was excellent. He was very friendly, shared interesting info about Roatan, transported us quickly around the island, and hooked us up with all the activities we wanted to do. Meeting Fernando was a highlight of the visit.
We are not super adventurous, so we visited the iguanas, visited the sloths/monkeys, and had lunch and some swimming time at a beach resort (included bathroom, pool, beach chairs, beach access). This was fun and relaxing. But for those inclined, there are also zip lines, snorkeling, etc. available.
As with any excursion not booked through the cruise line, make sure to depart for the port early, as traffic near the port or unforeseen circumstances could delay your arrival at the port. But your guide is familiar with these factors, and (especially on a private tour) ready to leave whenever you are.

The Best of Roatan the Best Way - This was the best way to do everything we wanted and to really see the real Roatan! Our guide Kenny was amazing. He took us to a less crowded sanctuary where we were able to hold a sloth, monkeys and macaws for as long as we wanted. The deer were so sweet and loved attention. He then took us to the Iguana sanctuary. There were hundreds of them everywhere. They let you pet and feed them. When we were done, Kenny drove us around to villages and places we would never have found on our own. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and really listened to our interests so that he could provide the best day for us. All of the crew from the beginning, locating the meeting spot, assigning our guide, and all of the guides inside the sanctuaries, were very professional and friendly. We would 100% recommend this tour.

The best tour in Roatan! - We did a private tour on 2/12/25. Marlene, tour guide extraordinaire, took us to the best off the beach snorkeling place, then to the rum factory, to a picture perfect viewing point in the mountains, the animal sanctuary and finally to the supermarket for authentic Honduran coffee. We tried going to a ceviche place, but it was closed. We had the best 5 hours on the island we could have had!! We can’t wait to return and again book tours with Victor and have Marlene as our guide!! Their attention to detail, professionalism, humbleness, and amazing customer service skills helped us feel we were with family and made us fall in love with Roatan!!!
Thank you for the most amazing time!! Until next time!!
