Highlights
  • Tryall Golf Course - Discover the history of the renowned Tryall Water Wheel and Golf Club.
  • Rick’s Cafe - The iconic Rick’s Cafe.

Our story begins with the opening of Rick’s Cafe by its founder, Richard Hershman, in April 1974. At that time, Negril was a quiet fishing village with minimal development. It lacked many modern conveniences such as electricity, telephone, and hot running water. Our charming cliffside location was originally owned by a local doctor, the son of the first Governor General of independent Jamaica.

Rick’s Cafe was the first public bar and restaurant of its kind on the West End Cliffs, providing an alternative to Negril’s stunning seven-mile beach.

On September 11, 2004, Hurricane Ivan devastated Rick’s. More destructive than Gilbert, 80-foot waves crashed over the cliffs and treetops. When the waves finally subsided, Rick’s Café had been scattered across the road in pieces. Despite the extensive damage from Ivan, Rick’s was rebuilt, bigger and better than before.

This is our final stop in Negril.

  • Cold Beer Joint - A brief stop to grab a few goodies for our trip as needed.

Enjoy water coconut, rum punch, a photo stop, and a chance to interact with Megan and learn about the benefits of some of our exotic fruits.

  • Margaritaville Negril - This is our main entrance to Negril’s marvelous 7-mile Beach, Jamaica’s best white sand beach. Guests are expected to spend 2-3 hours at this location.

It is also recommended for lunch, with plenty of entertainment available.
