Highlights
  • Temple of Demeter - Step back in time at the venerable Temple of Demeter, nestled in Sagri Village and dating back to 530 BC. This temple, devoted to the deity of harvest, stands prominently at the brink of a lush valley in Naxos, boasting the distinction of being the first Greek temple made entirely of marble, including its roof, which underscores its significant historical value.\nPlease note: The temple is not open on Tuesdays.\n- Tragaias - A pottery workshop in Damalas Village that has been passed down through generations.\n- Chalki - In the inviting Chalki Village, take a leisurely walk and then explore the century-old, family-run distillery that continues to produce the famous Kitron liqueur of Naxos.\n- Zas Mountain - Ascend Zas Mountain as we make our way to our next point of interest.\n- Apeiranthos - Next, we visit the quaint and scenic marble village of Apeiranthos, where you can meander through its serpentine alleyways, soaking in its enchanting atmosphere. The nearby Stavros offers panoramic views that allow you to behold the eastern and western vistas of the island at once.\n- Eggares Olive Press Museum - In the charming Eggares Village, explore a restored, family-run olive mill where you can observe the traditional methods of producing olive oil, often referred to as ‘liquid gold,’ and taste the exquisite olive oil products.

Perfect to visit cute villages in Naxos - Great experience! It’s not easy to drive narrow streets of inland and hard to pick which villages to visit. So happy George took us to the best parts of the villages. Loved that it was a small group and he’s flexible, knowledgeable and fun!

Incredible Way to Explore Naxos - This is one of the most enjoyable and unique tours I've ever done. Our guide was prompt in picking us up and had a great attitude and approach toward the tour. We visited many locations around the island for small stops, including photo stops, historical sites, tastings, and souvenir shopping. We had plenty of time at each stop, without being rushed. Everything we tried was 100% local and we learned the cultural significance of the items. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Naxos!

Fun Naxos Half Day Trip - We really enjoyed the personalized trip around Naxos. We enjoyed the villages and meeting people around the island. The scenery is breathtaking. Our driver was willing to take pictures of us and to stop the vehicle if requested. It was fun. My only feedback would be to provide water bottles in the vehicle, as it was hot.

Amazing tour with must see distillery and olive press museum, along with charming villages. - Outstanding and informative tour with Dimitris as our guide! He was so friendly and shared his incredible knowledge about Naxos as we drove from our hotel at Plaka beach, up to the highest village. He was an extremely careful driver (which I appreciated as I have a fear of heights) as he took us up the mountain roads. He showed us the Temple of Demeter, the wonderful distillery where we sampled Kitron, another little village where we strolled and shopped, the olive press museum and Mt Zas. He also advised us on where to have dinner and even made a reservation for us! An absolutely perfect afternoon with him and highly recommend!!!

Great way to see the island and its beauty! - Debated about going on this tour, but am so glad we did! We saw numerous areas of the island that we never would have traveled to on our own. The mountains and villages that we visited hold an incredible history. The views were spectacular and our guide was extremely knowledgeable of Naxos and its culture.
