- Temple of Demeter - Experience history at the ancient Temple of Demeter in Sagri Village, dating back to 530 BC, dedicated to the goddess of agriculture. Situated on the edge of a fertile Naxian valley, it is the first Greek temple made entirely of marble, including its roof, making it of significant historical value. Please note: The temple is closed on Tuesdays. Instead, a visit to a traditional pottery workshop will be included.
- Chalki - In Chalki Village, enjoy a leisurely walk and visit the century-old family-owned distillery, which continues to produce Naxos’ famous Kitron liqueur.
- Zas Mountain - Journey up to Mount Zeus, the highest peak in the Cyclades. Nestled within the lush Tragea valley, it is surrounded by numerous olive trees.
- Filoti - The largest settlement on the island, Filoti is a picturesque village built amphitheatrically on the slopes of Mount Zeus. The expansive branches of a majestic old plane tree generously offer shade to visitors. The district’s most famous church is Panagia Filotitissa (the Holy Mary of Filoti). The current structure, established in the 18th century, features a three-bell tower with intricate carvings. In front of the church is the Ecclesiastic and Folklore Museum of Filoti, where visitors can explore a traditional house and admire relics and icons of the church.
- Naxos - Olive groves line the route, showcasing the island’s cultural heritage. A visit to a restored olive mill is a must, where you can observe the traditional preparation of this “liquid gold” and taste its delightful olive oil products.

Incredible tour of Naxos... - Incredible tour of Naxos with Alex! He was so knowledgeable and also patient with our slow pace (two young children with us). He even tailored the itinerary to stops the children would enjoy. Highly recommend!

Unique, Engaging and Very Enjoyable - This tour of Naxos was excellent! Alex, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoyed our discussion immensely, and I appreciate that he encouraged us to ask questions. He gave us a very good sense of the island, and took us to many wonderful locations. The tour had a great variety of activities, the pacing and spacing of which was perfect. While it was a long day, I certainly wasn't wishing for it to end!

Amazing tour of the island - I can’t say enough about how wonderful this tour was. George was a wonderful host and guide. His knowledge of the extensive history of the island was appreciated by our family of history lovers. We felt like we saw much of the island, and got to spend enough time at each stop. Every member of our party of 4, including two teenagers, had a great time.
We brought home gorgeous pottery, the best olive oil we’ve ever had, some Kitron, and so many memories. Book this tour, you will not be disappointed!

Wicked good tour - Our guide and owner of the company naxos sun holidays was awesome. He was upbeat, knowledgeable, and patient. He seemed to know everyone we came across which added to the feeling of being part of the island experience. All of the merchants and fellow tour guides were happy to see him. The tour was a great mix of history, culture and learning how people lived and live today. Totally recommend.

Enjoyable 4 hours! - I really enjoyed the tour and felt like George had so much knowledge of the history of the island. He was also able to answer questions about the current day life on the island and make recommendations for restaurants and such. It would’ve been nice to have a built in bathroom break option before the last stop, but we made it!
One member of our party felt that George spent too much time chatting with individuals at each place and that he took us to vendors to build up their businesses, but the other two of us didn’t feel that pressure at all and enjoyed meeting and interacting with local business owners.
We all felt safe and learned a lot from the tour & I would recommend it!
