Naxos at its best - the tour through all the villages in the mountains, the monastery and historical areas like Demeter and the views were just phenomenal. we thoroughly enjoyed the shops, the potter, the people and the future. Our tour guide Gregory was fantastic and so kind and took very good care of us.

Full Day tour with fabulous Gregory - Gregory our host and driver is the absolute best!!! We spent a full day (2 couples) with him. Not only is he an incredibly joyful and knowledgeable person, he’s also an incredible guide. We were able to get a much better understanding of the Naxos inner island communities (including where he and his lovely fiancée live), but he also created a custom itinerary that let us experience some of the unique artisans on the island that create their own wares (a nice woman who is a master with the loom, an incredible sculptor, a 5 generational pottery family, an olive oil press etc). Ask for Gregory for your full day personal tour and you will not be disappointed!!!

Naxos amazing - Dimitri was very friendly and knowledgeable
He gave us a great overview of the island and all the main villages.
Only think is to explain clearly if you have lunch arranged and have dietary or monetary limitations.

Great Tour!!! - Vera was an amazing guide. She was friendly, very knowledgeable, gracious, and full of great tidbits about Greece. Took us from Oia to the southern part of the island and shared both current events and the history of Greece with us as we drove. She was an amazing driver. We made many stops including the lighthouse, underground caves and the red sand beach. When we told her we wanted to stop at a beach so our adult children could swim, she suggested the black sand beach where we stopped and had a delicious lunch. Highly recommend. Great tour and great guide!!!

A great overview of Naxos - history and culture - We booked this as a family to get an overview of the island, it's culture and it's history. Dimitri was a a very informative and enthusiastic guide and the trip was very thorough. We saw the Temple of Demeter, a pottery workshop (very interesting), a distillery in the old capital of Naxos, an olive press, the marble mountain, the oldest Byzantine chapel in the Balkans and the Kouros statue. Dimitri (and Gregorios) were full of tips and stories. It was thoroughly enjoyable and we were totally exhausted at the end!

Great tour with Vangelis - Vangelis was a great tour guide. He took us to all of the important things that you should see in Naxos and provided us with lots of great information and great photo opportunities and went out of his way to ensure that the experience was what we wanted. Highly recommend Naxos Luxury Tours which we found on Viator. The restaurant he recommended was fabulous.

A wonderful way to see Naxos - Michail A was our driver and guide. He showed up exactly on time in a beautiful Mercedes. We discussed the goal of our trip. He arranged the trip to meet our needs and requests. He provide good information and history of Naxos. He skillfully drove through the mountain roads during a thunderstorm.

The facts - The driver (never introduced himself so I don’t know name) and Naxos Luxury transport were nice and accommodating but this is not really a “tour” in my opinion. It is more of a ride to places, with very little information given, that you can easily get to on your own. For less than 1/10th of the price you can rent a car and drive to the same places and more - on your own schedule. The driver can not guide you into the historical places, he simply gives you a ride there. Also, the places on the proposed itinerary could be closed, read the other reviews. I feel it is false advertising as you sign up to do something but then are told you can’t the day of. Not to mention that they must be commissioned to take you to tourist traps like the pottery maker, olive oil press, and distillery in hopes that you will spend money there. Big disappointment. Do yourself a favor and rent a car, enjoy the easy and beautiful drive, seeing things in comfort from the front seat on your own schedule. You will get to see and do more for a fraction of the price.

Not worth doing - Viator asked us to switch the day that we booked our tour to the next day so we did. But on the day that they asked us to switch to, the temple of Demeter was closed. Which that was a main reason for us to take the tour. Then our guide said that the statue of kourlos wasn’t included in our tour. So I pulled it up on my phone to show him. Then he took us. The guide told us that the olive museum would cost extra so we decided not to do it. After we got back I looked it up again . And the olive museum was supposed to be free.
Don’t get me wrong I like to shop, but I felt that this tour was more of a shopping excursion than an informational tour! The guide did take us to different towns, but he did lead us into a lot of little shops. This tour was disappointing after experiencing other highlight tours in Greece. All of the other tours were very informative and took us to different villages but didn’t actually lead us into a bunch of shops!
