The Journey Begins

As a seasoned surfer, I’ve spent countless hours chasing waves along the sun-drenched coasts of Central America. But every now and then, I trade my surfboard for hiking boots and venture inland to explore the rugged beauty of the region’s volcanic landscapes. This time, my wife and I found ourselves in Santa Ana, El Salvador, ready to embark on the Santa Ana Volcano Hike.

Our guide, Jorge, picked us up bright and early, his enthusiasm infectious as he greeted us with a warm smile. We made a quick stop for some local coffee and breakfast, fueling up for the adventure ahead. Our day didn’t end there. Jorge surprised us with a visit to a nearby park, where we tried out some fun activities. Even the youngest members of our group, including a spirited three-year-old, found joy in the day’s adventures.
