Amazing Culture & Sights With Friendly Tour Guide - My wife and I really loved this experience. The tour guide was not only very knowledgeable about the local history and geography, she was also very friendly and open. We chatted with her the whole time about a variety of topics. The car ride was comfortable and very convenient for us. I just wished we did the hike around the volcano first because the weather is usually better in the mornings (at least in August / September). But it's hard to predict the weather, and this is the rainy season. Although we got wet while hiking, we still loved the trip.

Awesome views & lots of learning - This tour was great and I feel like I learned a lot! My guides were very attentive and friendly and took lots of great photos of us. It was like going on a tour with friends. Lunch was good with a gorgeous view! It is the winter season here which means lots of rain and fog. We didn’t get the best views of the volcano but that totally was on weather and not the tour. I definitely suggest taking this tour outside of their winter season. The on-site tour guide at Tazumal is absolutely fantastic (I guess he works with this company). If you get to see him, you will be very lucky. He is super knowledgeable and friendly. He speaks English very well too. I wish he was with me at every single tour lol he was that awesome!!!

Really great - This was a GREAT tour! My best friend and I spent 3 days in El Salvador over a holiday weekend and wanted to see as much as we could while we were there. Our first night, our plans for Saturday fell through. Literally less than 12 hours before we were supposed to be picked up. Not only was I able to book with EC, but they responded on WhatsApp to confirm within an hour. Excellent and fast customer service. Ricardo was our guide and he was excellent. Funny guy, super knowledgeable, told us about the history as well as general life and culture in El Salvador. The ruins were incredible and we learned so much! Unfortunately we didn’t get to see the volcano because of weather (it was so foggy!) but we still had a great time. We did another EC tour the next day and that was also great. I recommend this company for tours, and I really enjoyed Ricardo as our guide.

Shout out to Joshy! - We did this tour on our first day in El Salvador. We stayed in an AirBnB and they were able to work with us on picking us up at our location. We are so happy we did this. Joshy was our wonderful tour guide and interpreter. She is very personable and charismatic, very easy to talk to. We got lucky as it was a mostly clear enough day to see the mountains and volcanoes. We enjoyed learning about local history and visiting the Mayan sites. The restaurant we went to was delicious with beautiful scenery of the lake.

Great way to see the Archaeological sites! - The tour was very organized. Lizbeth coordinated the time of the pick up a night before. We were traveling with a 3 year old and she enjoyed a lot! Thank you EC Tours!

Ruins, volcanoes & laughs - We book this tour with Mar, Walter and Herson and they were phenomenal. They welcomed us with warm smiles and sweet greetings; starting off the day with ease. Walter was super attentive to our needs during the drive; making sure we felt comfortable, checking the AC and promptly being available when moving from spot to spot. Mar and Hersen were very knowledgeable about the sites; answering all of our questions. They also offered suggestions for other site seeing opportunities throughout the country. We laughed, sang, shared stories with them as well. Our trip to El Salvador was made super memorable because of Mar, Hersen and Walter. When we reflect back on our trip to El Salvador, Mar, Walter and Hersen will always be a major part of our story.

It was like I was on tour with 2 of my best friends, we had so much fun laughing and experiencing all the sites together - We did 2 Mayan sites, San Andres, Tazumal, and Cerro Verde. Mar was my tour guide and I would give her 10 stars if I could. Her and our driver were the best guides you could ask for. They were knowledgeable, and super friendly, I felt like I was on a tour with my best friends. Mar could tell right from the begging how interested I was in the Myan culture, and she made sure to grab the on site guide at Tazumal, who was also amazing in his knowledge. We spoke for hours about many different ancient civilizations, and all the intricacies of Tazumal. Then it was off to lunch overlooking lake coatepeque. The view was stunning, and the food was amazing. Then off to Cerro Verde, which was also absolutely incredible. We didn't get to see the views of the volcanoes because we were completely fogged in, but this was an amazing experience in itself. I highly recommend EC tours, and cannot wait to go back and see the rest of El Salvador.

Worth the trip! Incredible sites. - It was hard to choose because EC tours the company that does these tours have so many good ones! But this Maya trip tour is incredible! ALEX did a great job showing me and explaining me details for what I was seeing and took incredible photos and videos of me with these historic sites. What a memorable day. If you are thinking of visiting these sites don’t think twice they are truly worth it. In person it’s something extraordinary. Also ALEX drives very safe and I never felt in danger when going through the highways. Thanks ALEX for such a great tour. 5 stars! Highly recommend.

Good small group tour - Overall, it was interesting. One of the Mayan sites used their on-site tour guide to bring depth to the tour. Bringing out interesting facts and pictures not part of a regular tour. The other site was a series of buildings with models, pictures and artifacts. Some juicy parts are off limits and underground. Lunch was a bust and we missed the final leg's tour around the mountain to view the crater lake and large volcano. Lunch took too long and was on the opposite side of the crater lake from the park.
