This area, once a hub for storage facilities and diving gear shops, has been transformed into a vibrant district filled with trendy restaurants, wine-tasting venues, and art studios. Here, you’ll connect with your tour guide for an engaging afternoon of food tastings and photography.

Embark on your journey by foot at a comfortable walking speed while your guide imparts knowledge about Santa Barbara’s historical background and its flourishing art scene. Keep your mobile phone handy to apply the useful photography tips provided by your guide as you go. There will be ample chances to snap pictures of delectable dishes and vivid portraits amidst the dynamic atmosphere of the Funk Zone.

Your guide will make stops at various eateries for food and beverage samples (all inclusive) including a restaurant, a combined wine bar and bakery, and a craft beer brewery. Discover the art of arranging your food for optimal photographic results while you enjoy the local tastes.

Once the tour concludes, you’re free to further explore and photograph the quirky and spirited Funk Zone at your leisure.

The food and photography tour begins at the lower end of State Street and takes you on a walk around the Funk Zone. Taste the flavors that Santa Barbara is celebrated for, including fresh seafood, innovative pub food, Mexican delicacies, crafted beers, and wines made from locally grown grapes across multiple unique spots. En route, you’ll be welcomed into the local way of life and hear intriguing narratives about each stop on your tour.

In addition to tasting incredible food, you’ll receive handy photo tips from your expert guide and improve your food photography game using your phone’s camera feature. After the 3-hour exploration, you’ll be dining like a local and clicking photos like a professional! (Kindly note: we are unable to cater for shellfish allergies, vegan or gluten-free diets at the moment. However, there’s just one shellfish/seafood tasting included in the tour.)
