Teide National Park - Our journey begins with an ascent to Teide National Park, passing through the Esperanza forest, named after the Conquest of Tenerife. Here, we can pause to enjoy Tenerife’s special coffee, barraquito. This mountain is a protected natural park, known for its beautiful Canarian pine forest, flowers, and small birds. Along the way, we’ll stop at various viewpoints to admire the stunning scenery. Before reaching the national park, we’ll take a short trail to view Mount Teide from a serene, less crowded spot, allowing us to absorb the positive energy of this majestic volcano that crowns Tenerife. Upon arrival at the National Park, we’ll be captivated by a landscape that feels otherworldly. Mount Teide, located in the heart of Tenerife, features ancient volcanic cones, strata, and rocks stretching across the vast caldera of Las Cañadas, all set in a lava-dominated environment. Teide National Park is home to Spain’s highest peak and the third-largest volcano on Earth, offering a breathtaking and magical vista with its twisted colors and shapes. We’ll explore the park, visiting its most significant landscapes. On our descent, we’ll pass through the Orotava Valley, a fertile area of volcanic origin. If desired, we can stop for lunch to savor authentic traditional Canarian cuisine, with meal prices ranging from 8-15 euros per person. Later, we’ll visit La Orotava, Tenerife’s largest municipality, known for its grand colonial mansions. The tour includes insurance, an official tourist guide, a short trail before reaching the national park, and a trail within the park. Pick-up is available in Santa Cruz and La Laguna, with an additional 10 euros per booking for pick-up in Puerto de la Cruz, and 35 euros per booking for pick-up in Costa Adeje, Playa de las Américas, and Los Gigantes. For other locations, please inquire. Tenerife’s weather is highly variable, so please bring an umbrella and a sweater or jacket. This day tour can be scheduled for sunset if the entire group agrees. Private tours and larger group options are available for an additional fee.
