Next is a 10 minute break where we provide you with fresh pineapple & ice water before going back out for the last hour of the lesson. You will be catching your own waves in no time as our instructors are among the best in Costa Rica & make sure you have fun.
We take children as young as 4-our instructors are amazing with children and we have had beginners as young as 75 out. At our secluded beach, we are the only ones there and you avoid the crowded, rocky areas of Tamarindo (we are right across from Tamarindo). Our beach is a sand walk out with no rock - perfect for beginners with great waves as well!
Our class sizes are no more than 4 students per instructor and we offer semi-private and private as well (ask for details).
We also take 150-250 professional pictures of your lesson and video as well (extra). The only surf company in Costa Rica to offer that. Come see why we are #1 on TripAdvisor.

Great Surf Lesson - We had a great time! Tim and his wife met us, lent us rash guards, left us in the hands of a very competent instructor and took some pictures. Had an 8 and 12 year with us. All of us got up. In the middle of the lesson, we had a water break with fresh pineapple and homemade banana bread.

First Time Surfing! - This surfing lesson was awesome. Tim and JP were great instructors for our first time surfing. They were very patient and gave great pointers as the lesson progressed. All of us were able to get up with their expertise. I would highly recommend this experience while in Costa Rica.

Amazing morning catching waves! - We had an amazing time with mojo surf. Tim was a personable and fun host with local knowledge. His wife’s banana bread is sublime and the fresh pineapple and cold water were very appreciated as a break. Learning is hard work but it was so rewarding. Everyone from every level in our class was able to catch some waves and stand up! My wife and I were with JP as an instructor and he was phenomenal. We never had to wait long at all for our next turn, so we got a ton of opportunity to try and learn. This lesson was more than worth it!

Great time! Beautiful... - Great time! Beautiful beach. Excellent instruction. They took extra time with the kids to ensure they succeeded. Definitely a highlight of our trip and a lifetime memory.

Awesome Surf Lesson - Absolutely incredible experience—definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Costa Rica! Tim, Johel, and MJ made an amazing team. Tim was super responsive and made booking our last-minute surfing lesson a breeze. They were all so accommodating.
Johel was an outstanding instructor—patient, encouraging, and incredibly friendly. He made learning to surf feel easy and fun.
And MJ’s banana bread and fresh pineapple? Delicious! She also captured the most amazing photos of us surfing, giving us great memories to take home.
I would recommend this to *anyone* interested in learning to surf. Truly the best experience with the best instructor!

Great time surfing in Costa Rica - Pure Vida! - This was our first attempt at surfing and it was a wonderful experience. The setting was spectacular (secluded beech away from the masses) and the instruction was great. Most importantly, Tim and Johel were a joy to be with. Very hospitable. Great work! We would certainly rebook the next time we are in the area.

Best surf adventure! - Tim and his instructors are the best! Our family had so much fun and the kids were up and surfing in a matter of no time! We can not recommend Mojo and their staff enough. If you want to surf in Costa Rica, Mojo Surf is the outfit for your adventure!

Spring break surf lesson - Our family took surf lessons with Mojo Surf Adventures over spring break. The was only our second time surfing, the first being in Hawaii, and this was far superior. Tim and the instructors met us on an uncrowded beach and demonstrated the techniques and safety instructions. Then we began surfing, and they helped us catch some great waves. We all had a great time and would highly recommend this company.

Fun new experience - My two sons and I had a great experience learning to surf. Tim, Johel and MJ were extremely nice and got us out surfing right away. It didn’t take long for us to be up on the boards riding the waves. And MJ’s banana bread was a huge hit!
