- Curubande - Visit a hidden spot of the river “Rio Blanco” (blue water river), starting with a slow tubing floating down the river on its beautiful turquoise water, then get ready to see a nice 2 waterfalls in a lava shaped canyon (photo spot), after you will be able to try some Cliff jumping out of the edge of a 45ft canyon to a blue water bowl…

- La Leona Waterfall - In this spot you will hike for 25 minutes through hard trials caves and cliffs, in order to get to la leona waterfall, inside of a cave that you will have to swim in with a rope against the river current.
- Curubande - We will do a stop in a local restaurant for lunch.
- Cataratas Llanos de Cortes - Enter to the llanos del cortes waterfalls using the locals entrance with a local guide, where after a 20 minutes hike through the tropical dry forest next to the river, you will reach a hidden big water bowl, where you will be able to swim and cliffjump, then you will hike to the top of the Waterfall´s view point to take pictures, after you will go to the base of the Waterfalls where you can swim and take pictures.

Begin with a serene tubing experience on a captivating blue river, followed by waterfall visits, cliff diving, canyon exploration, hidden coves, and even more stimulating waterfalls; truly experience it the local way. This exciting journey gets you visiting a pristine blue river ideal for cliff diving and swimming through a canyon leading to a secluded waterfall. Our next stop involves a stimulating 30-minute downhill hike on adventurous trails through coves and cliffs, including ladder climbing. The journey carries on with swimming against the current, aided by ropes, leading you to a magical waterfall, offering a true Indiana Jones experience. Pause for a break to enjoy a traditional local ‘Casado’ meal at a local eatery. Lastly, step into the shoes of a local and hike their trail for 20 minutes leading to a towering 90ft waterfall. You’ll climb to the top, then swim down to the base of the waterfall.

Incredible Experience - Excellent experience on private waterfall tour with Jose he was an awesome tour guide so polite and knowledgeable with great information about Costa Rica as a whole had a blast! Would definitely recommend

La Leona Falls Full Day Family private tour - Our day started early at 7.30am with pickup location determined by us which was our hotel. Our guide Jose spoke excellent English, was very friendly and welcoming which put everyone in the right frame of mind immediately. Jose was incredibly knowledgeable about Costa Rican history, biodiversity and everything Costa Ricaa. We learned a lot in addition to the great tours. Everywhere we went the people knew him and we were treated like VIP's. What I really appreciated about this tour was the "local" feel. I almost felt like an extension of Jose's family as we ate lunch at the local restaurant in Curabande and everyone was so friendly. The falls themselves were amazing. I will say the La Leona falls hike is amazing but it can be a little challenging at times if you are unstable on your feet. Still, I would test your abilities just to experience pure beauty. We arrived back home at 8pm and Jose didn't miss a beat. He was as positive and friendly at 8pm as he was 7.30am. My family has a lot of anxiety and nervousness so they were nervous about this tour but it couldn't have been more successful.

One of the best activities we did in Costa Rica with great people! - We spent time in Arenal- zip lining, hiking, waterfalls, and hot springs, and this adventure blew it all out of the water. Our guides were knowledgeable and by the end of the trip, felt like family. We happened to do the adventures during a pretty wild extended rain event in Guanacaste and our guide was very communicative regarding closures, safety, and adapted to the weather conditions. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic experience. We enjoyed talking with our driver and guide, as well as the fun people at la Leon. Pura vida !!!

On of the best things you can do in Costs Rica! - We took our family of 5 (6, 8, and 10 year olds) on this adventure, and Sebastian was funny, enthusiastic, and helpful. His knowledge and experience was clear. The locations were beautiful, adventurous, and fun. Our family jumped off cliffs, tubed down rivers, hiked up waterfalls, and Sebastian made sure that we could it all, finding things we never could have on our own. My six year old wants me to write that Sebastian was brave and strong after pulling her through some gnarly rapids!

So worth it! - My husband & I had an amazing time! I'm horrible with names, & I'm writing this review 3 days later, but I think our tour guys were Sebastian and Jonathan. They were honestly great! My husband & I didn't know what to expect but this whole tour was beyond what we could have imagined. It's wet season right now, so everything is so green & beautiful. The waters falls were breath taking & the river was so relaxing. Also it helped having such knowledgeable fun tour guides!

Experience of a Lifetime - I cannot put into words how amazing this experience was! (But I’ll try.) Sebastian picked us up promptly, and had snacks and drinks on hand. We have two girls, aged 7 & 9, and they took to him instantly. The waterfalls were amazing and worth the little hikes to get there. It was quick and easy to get into and out of each area, as the company is well established with the locals. It was very impressive how many experiences were packed into only one day! We learned a lot, and saw some of the most beautiful sights of our lives. I’ve only ever left one recommendation despite much travel, but this trip was worth the time and effort. So appreciative. Recommend, recommend, recommend!!

Experience of a Lifetime! - The experience was amazing and unforgettable! Our guide Alberto Salas was top notch! He educated us on not only our excursion but also educated us on the Costa Rican culture collectively. He taught us the lingo and answered any and all questions as well as made sure every part of our day was comfortable. La Leona was the most beautiful and rewarding experience. Not being the most agile person it was a challenge but Alberto gives you all the reassurance and assists you in having an experience of a lifetime! My husband and I now have a Costa Rican friend! Highly recommend!

Perfect day in Costa Rica - What an amazing experience. Alberto was the best guide we used in all our travels. The two water falls were unbelievable. La Leona waterfall is such a crazy hike, but it is so worth it. Alberto guided us through and did not rush us. Tubing down the river was also fun and relaxing. We highly recommend the tour company and especially Alberto.
