Authentic food and authentic real-world experience in La Fortuna - We were fortunate enough to visit Christian and his neighbors for cooking class in March. It was our favorite thing we did on our entire week to Costa Rica (and we did a LOT). To be able to spend time with a local family and actually see how they live, cook with them, and learn from them was such an honor we had the privilege to enjoy. The tortillas, plantains and tipico gallo pinto was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, delicious and the best way to spend a morning in the fresh mountain air. This not only was informational and fun, but gave my kids and me a whole different perspective on live and living and what it's all about. And yes, we've made tortillas since being back home!
