- Palace of the Governors - We pass by the Palace of the Governors (oldest continuously used public government building in the US!) and talk about its role in Santa Fe’s history. We do not go inside or visit the museum

Designed for food-lovers who appreciate a surprise, bear in mind some New Mexican dishes can pack a punch with spice. Although we cater for dietary restrictions, it’s not possible to offer ‘non-spicy’ alternatives.
The tour features a multitude of dining spots and doesn’t focus solely on New Mexican cuisine. We offer a taste of the crème de la crème of Santa Fe, meaning a broad spectrum of delicious cuisines.

- Wear comfortable shoes as this is a walking tour. Moderate amount of walking required – tour is 1.5 miles (2.4 km) long, but spread out between the four stops. YOU MUST BE IN GOOD WALKING CONDITION TO ENJOY THIS TOUR
- It is recommended that you eat a large, late breakfast the day of the tour; expect enough food to replace lunch and likely require only a light dinner later in the evening; but also keep in mind the first tasting stop begins no earlier than 1:30pm.

Go do this tour, everyone!! - This was such a fantastic tour! Very interesting history of Santa Fe, delicious food and drink at beautiful establishments, the staff at the restaurants were friendly and informative. As great as the food and drink were, SO much of what made it amazing was our tour guide Lauren Slaff. Lauren was professional and informative, while being friendly, funny, and so kind and welcoming. She is the BEST!!

Fun culinary tour - The 'Sip & Savor' tour led by Lauren is an exceptional way to explore the culinary delights of Santa Fe. Her expertise, combined with a well-planned itinerary, ensures a rich and rewarding experience. The tour is not only about tasting delicious food but also about understanding the cultural and historical context behind each dish. Lauren’s personable nature and passion for the local food scene make this tour both educational and entertaining.
Lauren's welcoming nature brought a group of strangers together instantly. One of the highlights of the tour was the surprise birthday churro cake that was presented to one of the members of our tour group at the Churro Bar.
If you want to truly experience the flavors of Santa Fe, the Downtown Plaza 'Sip & Savor' tour with Lauren from Wander New Mexico is a must. It's a delightful blend of history, culture, and culinary artistry that will leave you with a deeper appreciation for this vibrant city.

An elevated food tour in Santa Fe - Think of this as a more elevated food tour. We had scratch margaritas, amazing tacos, a pasta dish at Sassella (one of the top restaurants in the US) with aperol spritz, bubbles tasting at Gruet, and finished off with the most amazing churros I've ever had at the Churro Bar. Every place was amazing, unique, comfortable and had great service with passionate hosts. Lauren, the host for the day, was amazing too. She knows food and she knows Santa Fe. She kept the day lively and fun! If you like food tours, this is one not to miss.

Outstanding Knowledge of Food/ Culture - If you go to Sante Fe and want to really enjoy good food, you MUST call Lauren Slaff at Gastro Guide . She is knowledgeable, friendly and an all around great tour guide. Her observations and comments on cultural surroundings and background information on all types of local foods is outstanding. She made our trip so memorable.

Fantastic tour - The Sip and Savor tour with Lauren exceeded all expectations! Lauren was knowledgeable and entertaining. The restaurants we visited were incredible and it was a nice touch to have the chef come and speak. This was a great addition to our trip itinerary and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Fun tour! - Lauren was an excellent tour guide! The food and drinks were all spot on. It was great that Lauren encouraged everyone to drink water, because the tour is heavier on the “sips” than on the food!

A great day in Santa Fe! - What a wonderful tour! Lauren’s pation for Santa Fe’s History and Food is awesome to experience. The restaurants that we visited were all delicious and the chefs and owners that we met were so welcoming, sharing their stories and delicious food. After the tour was over, Lauren was happy to recommend other restaurants and activities. I would highly recommend this tour. You will not regret the time or money spent.

You will love it! - We had a blast! Our tour guide Lauren was awesome. She was knowledgeable and entertaining. The tour was perfect for getting to experience Santa Fe and the chefs, restaurant owners and Lauren were wonderful about giving recommendations outside the tour! This is a must!

Sip and Savor delight - Lauren was a fantastic tour guide and her venue choices were amazing. Everything from tacos to champagne to churros. Who knew there was a churro bar! Great fun afternoon eating, drinking and learning!
