• Santa Margalida - Start your day with a visit to a farm near the village of Santa Margalida. This farm specializes in growing organic aloe vera, a cactus-like plant known for its medicinal and healing benefits. Aloe vera is a key ingredient in products for treating sunburn and other conditions. During a guided tour of the plantation, you’ll learn all about these uses. The farm employs locals and supports the regional economy.
• Arta - Next, head to the hilltop town of Arta to visit the market. With its narrow cobblestone streets lined with limestone houses featuring colorful shutters, it’s a delightful place to explore. Elisabeth says, ‘Arta is a beautiful village, and you’ll find lots of local delicacies at its farmers’ market. The Sant Salvador Sanctuary also offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside.’
• Cuevas de Arta - After some free time for lunch, we’ll make our way to the coast to visit the Arta Caves in the afternoon. The location is unbeatable – a headland overlooking a picturesque bay. Inside, you’ll wander through a maze of caverns, with stalactites and stalagmites beautifully lit by an advanced lighting system.
