More than Pesto! - What a delightful few hours with our tour guide Nicolette! As a long time local, she knowledgeable and clearly knew many people in this village. She had a great sense of humor, and ensured engagement with everyone in our small group. The Pedro class and lunch was a great way to end our time in Portofino and what caught our attention with this tour, but the history we got turned out to be equally as appreciated. Well done!

Perfect activity for Portofino - We had a lot of fun during this activity, our guide was Christina, was very knowledgeable and showed us a lot of nice things and explained them to us. We also very liked making the pesto and the lunch after was excellent. It was also nice to be doing so right in the port with a beautiful view.

Did not realize our... - Did not realize our meeting point was over an hour away.Would have had to get a taxi to train station and upon arrival taxi down to ferry. Train was running behind so unfortunately did not attend. Applied for full refund. No word yet on decision. Hopefully Viator will do the right thing. We took other Viator tours that were great…Thanks in advance

Questionable Value - Our guide Cristina was great and we definitely enjoyed the experience, but I think that it’s not worth the price. Given how easily anyone can buy a ticket for the ferry and have lunch after strolling around Portofino, the added commentary and pesto making weren’t worth the premium price. One word of advice: we booked this thinking it was an activity out of Genoa, where we were staying. The meeting point is actually in Santa Margherita, which is 25 miles south of Genoa. It was easy enough to take the train and walk to the ferry, but it wasn’t clear to me that we’d need to do that.
