Murdeira - Murdeira bay is the mating place of the turtle during the summer because there the water is calm, since is protect by the coast from the left hand side and by the mountain from the right hand side.
The catamaran stops at the base of “Monte Leao” that is a mountain in the shape of a sleeping lion.

Venture into ATV 500cc 4x4 Quad Island Adventure for 4-hours on a coast to coast, off-road, guided Island adventure. Get to know all the highlights of Sal with a ATV 500cc 4x4 Quad. Explore beautiful sand dunes, visit Serra Negra, the natural reserve of the island. Witness the mirage by traveling to Terra Boa, explore the amazing view of the crater, see the lemon sharks and much more. This tour is limited to 30 passengers with a limit of 2 passengers per ATV.
- Minimum age for driving is 18 years
- Not recommended for children under the age of 6
- May be operated by a multi-lingual guide
- Valid driving license required
- Without a valid and original driving license, participants will not be able to participate on the tour. No refund will be given
- Closed shoes are mandatory
- Group sizes will be limited to no more than 8 passengers. This includes up to 2 passengers per buggy
- Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there is not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund

An Exciting Sal Adventure: Experienced Guides and Stress-Free Fun - The tour was very nice! The guides had a lot of experience, explained everything before and during the trip in a good manner, which made us feel well-informed and safe. During the stops, the guide told us about the places in a fun and engaging way, and there was absolutely NO STRESS during the stops (or the whole trip in general). The route we drove presented a perfect amount of difficulity and driving challenges, which made the trip wery fun and challenging at the same time.
We were two drivers on one quad, which worked really well for us since we got a little bit tired from driving/holding on.
All in all a fun and exciting trip which we would highly reccomend to anyone traveling to Sal!
If you have crocs (shoes), bring them to shark bay as you will need them to walk out in the water instead of renting.
Bring a bandana that covers your ears or you'll be cleaning dirt out of them the next few days...
If you have senestive hearing, consider bringing earbuds, engine noise and wind for four hours can be tiring.

4x4 excursion - Fantastic day out had a fabulous day, and got to see a lot of the island. We had so much fun off road, can't wait to come back and do it again!!!!

Quad Island tour - We went on the quad Island tour. Its a 4 hour adventure.
We are all our 50's and other than one if us we had never done this before.
We had a wonderful tour guide, Jason. He was polite, spike great English and told us lots about the Island.
We all had a go at driving, Jason was helpful and patient with us.
It is by far one if the best excursions I have ever been on.
Just wish we had of done it earlier in our holiday and then fitted the jet skis in too!!!

Excellent Fun! - We were picked up outside our apartment and taken to the company site in Santa Maria, where we signed a disclaimer, were given overalls and helmet and a safety briefing, We were shown to our allocated our Quad and were off!
For someone used to driving a car with power steering, the quads are very heavy to manoeuvre; the throttle is controlled by the thumb which also takes some getting used to.
Our route covered most of the island and included many of the sights. As we had already visited these, it included (for us) some repetition. Some of the route is on tarmac roads but the vast majority is off road through the desert. This can be very dusty and rough - which is the whole point of going on the quads!
On returning to Santa Maria, we were hosed down by compressed air, de-robed and returned back to our apartment.
Throughout, our guides were fun, helpful and professional and no part of the tour can be faulted.

Wonderful experience - Absolutely fantastic from start to finish! The guide was wonderful friendly and knowledgeable. The views were breathtaking and we got to see bits of the island we wouldn't of otherwise seen. There are some hair raising moments but it is all part of the experience and if you listen to the guide it is very safe. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone.

The tour was amazing and Kevin the tour guide was top class, very knowledgeable and great fun.

Fun experience with the crew and very helpfull - We’ve done much of the south of the isle where we can’t go by ourselves and it was really fun to appreciate the isle and the desert that way

Well worth doing - These people are great - with one exception, they never asked nor separated us experienced riders from the novices and this lead to a lot of frustrations for us on the first half of the tour. Once we separated from the novices, we really had fun and I would highly recommend this company - just be sure not to end in a mixed experience group.

There are better tour companies - I went on the Buggy tour. It was a very slow journey down a lot of dirt roads. Not particularly exciting and one of the guides was very rude. I would avoid.
