Fun to see and experience sharks from close - Perfect experience where we were able to see and feel the sharks around our legs. A fun trip. We saw them feed the sharks. You must borrow / rent shoes upon arrival.

Adventure 5***** - A fantastic adventure! We did not make a reservation or look for a guide to take us to the venue, rent a scooter and speed up the road. Upon arrival at the venue, we were welcomed by a certified guide, named "Aridson Birth" who after a brief presentation, and an explanation of the association to which he belonged, accompanied us to the sharks. Strongly informed and endowed with a fantastic charisma, brought the sharks to us, and knowledgeable answers to the doubts we were having. Much better than watching the Discovery channel! After the visit to the sharks, where there was no counted time, we were invited to lunch at the "sister's kiosk", where the food was very tasty. The shark tour has a cost of 5€ per person, and unfortunately due to where we are, there are no automatic payments, so I consider it necessary to bring money. For the tour and to petish in the local kiosk.

Incredible experience - Had a fantastic trip with Chelsea as our guide. She shared her knowledge with us and made everyone feel very comfortable, from kids to bigger kids like us. The shark experience itself was such a thrill, seeing the young lemon sharks up close and marvelling at the larger sharks from a safe distance. It’s also a bonus to do so with an ethical tour guide instead of with one who feeds the sharks to attract them. 6 stars from us!

Environmentally sensitive tour. - Going with explorecapeverde meant Lisa, our tour guide, was a qualified Marine Biologist and committed to environmentally sensitive tours. Apparently, the sharks are actually asleep or in their rest phase during the day, so we were asked not to disturb them by trying to follow them or bait them as some tours do, which can disrupt their natural patterns. I'm so glad we chose a tour operator sensitive to the wildlife we were there to see and appreciate.

Wonderful experience! - Wonderful experience to walk in the sea among baby lemonsharks! To catch a glimpse of the bigger male sharks a bit further away was also exciting. Would advise everyone to use swimwear on this excursion (the waves reached up to my waist now and then :) Do this- you won’t regret it!

Informative experience - Took a trip to Shark Bay withExplore Cape Verde, nature excursions. Our guide was a recently qualified Marine Biologist from the Netherlands. I think her name was Corina (apologies if I’ve got it wrong). A very pleasant and amusing guide. It’s a tricky walk over a rocky seabed. Crocs probably the best footwear. Can be hired for 300cve. there. Some groups rushed their viewings , this company doesn’t. We stood amongst young sharks swimming by us with our guide providing interesting information regarding the Lemon sharks and other questions that were fielded at her. One can’t really come to Capo Verde and not do this trip. I found this company on tripadvisor and it proved to be a good choice as well as probably the cheapest. Thanks to our driver , Carlos, too.

Worth seeing - It was incredible to see the baby sharks. The guide was very knowledgeable and very friendly. We were collected on time from the designated pick up point. The tour was not too long but enough time to see the animals and hear about the conservation work.

Up close experience - Had a good time having baby sharks swim by our legs. Water shoes needed. We were lucky to see larger sharks just out in deeper water. Lovely experience

Discovery of the bay of lemon sharks - For tourists, not worth it, many aquariums do better. I don't recommend, plus the bay position makes it a nice garbage can
