Centro Historico de Santa Marta - Everything begins around 9:30 am at the Expotur office where in a 4 × 4 truck we take a 2 ½ hour course to the Mamey region, where we have lunch and then begin the search for the sacred place of the Tayronas (ancient inhabitants of The lost City). At the end of the afternoon we arrive at Camp 1, in its surroundings we will find rivers, natural pools, waterfalls for moments of relaxation, then we will have dinner and there will be accommodations prepared in hammocks to rest and spend the night.

CAMP 1 - CAMP 3

Parque Nacional Natural Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta - The day begins and we have breakfast early, to then start walking through the Buritaca river valley, there we will find numerous houses that make up a village of indigenous Kogui called Mutanshi. Our tour of the day is approximately 7 hours, passing through the jungle of the Sierra Nevada and meeting face to face with the natural diversity, until finally arriving directly at Camp 3 where we eat, rest and spend the night.

CAMP 3 - LOST CITY - CAMP 2

Ciudad Perdida - Very early we have breakfast, to begin the ascent to our destination, we begin by climbing 1,200 steps, a path built by the Tayronas themselves, at the end we will find the long-awaited Lost City, once there the guide will show us and give us information about the magical full place of relics and ancestral stories, we will spend the morning enjoying the landscapes of the destination, having enough time to rest and take pictures, finally we will have lunch and continue the same way back to reach Camp 2 where we have dinner and spend the night.

CAMP 2 - EL MAMEY

Parque Nacional Natural Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta - The last day of the adventure begins with breakfast to continue the way back to the point where it all began, the way we will find rivers and waterfalls to refresh ourselves, until finally reaching the Mamey where we will have lunch and the truck will wait for us to return to the city of Santa Marta where we will arrive around 5:00 pm having fully enjoyed an enriching new experience in the magical Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.

Just…. book the tour :) - Amazing trip! Amazing adventure! Views are gorgeous! The trek is quite the challenge but with motivation and enthusiasm it can be easily achieved! I had the chance to hike with Enrique as our Tour guide, Pilar as our translator and Pastora as our cook and let me tell you we just became a happy trekking-family! Food was amazing, lodging too, there were snacks and toilets available often. The informations and the history told by our guide was really interesting and captivating. Our translator also did a good job and her energy kept us going! Enrique even waited for me on at a break station as I had to run down to get a thing I had forgotten at another checkpoint All this to say: I felt safe, I saw the last city, I made friends, and this tour company really guided us through making great memories Highly recommend

Great experience! - I walked the Lost City Trek with Expotur and I would 100% recommend it! Both our guide Gabriel and translator Maria were very funny, knowledgeable, shared interesting and fun stories and took great care of our group. Maria’s English was excellent. Our cook Camilla provided us with varied meals and snacks at the camps. Our group consisted of 8 people, which was a good size, and everyone was really fun and nice. While you share the camps with groups of other organisations, on day two we walked a bit further to another camp so that we had the whole camp to ourselves. This was a really fun experience and that is another reason why I would recommend Expotur.

Unique adventure to the Lost City in Colombia - My 4-day tour to the Lost City in Colombia was an unforgettable adventure that I can recommend to anyone. We hiked for about 60 km through challenging trails and all kinds of weather, but it was worth every effort. The tour was extremely well organized and our tour guide Ida was simply fantastic. She not only knew the route like the back of her hand, but also the people we met along the way. Her knowledge and experience really enriched our trip. Special thanks also go to our cook Pastora, who spoiled us with delicious food during the breaks and even fulfilled individual dietary requests without hesitation. What I particularly liked was the fact that the Lost City was not overcrowded thanks to local regulations. This allowed us to enjoy this magical place in peace and quiet without being overwhelmed by crowds. Overall, I can only warmly recommend this tour, the provider Expotur, and Isa and Pastora. The trip was not only a great adventure, but also an unforgettable journey into the history and nature of Colombia.

Crazy experience!!! - This 4-day trek was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life, both the most beautiful and magnificent in terms of encounters, discovery, landscapes, challenges... But also the toughest sportingly and physically! The support of our guide Sixto and our translator Carlos made these 4 days even richer and unforgettable ❤️ sharing, good humor, patience and motivation were their watchwords. The team at the Expotur agency in Santa Marta was also very accommodating and attentive 👍🏽. I 10,000% recommend this 4 day adventure with Expotur... And Viva Colombia! 🇨🇴

Recommended and demanding experience - It was an incredible and demanding experience: the landscapes, the people, the rain, the heat... The meals were delicious thanks to Pastora from Expotur and Óscar from MagicTour. Ida was our guide and it was lucky to learn about the experience from someone there, who told us how everything and herself have grown thanks to the opportunity to be a guide in this experience, and she has been able to reflect it in her family. As a tip, I would warn the tourist that the water that will be available in the camps is filtered and that if it rains it is better not to drink it, so they will need cash to buy it. As well as to buy other types of basic necessities or hydration. Oh, and in the recommendations for plastic bags, specify putting dry clothes in one so that they don't get wet when it rains and bringing something to cover the backpack. I had a bad answer from Ringles, who asked him about the Poporo and he told me that my guide would explain it to me. All in all, a highly recommended experience.

Excellent tour to Ciudad Perdida - Well organised trip to Ciudad Perdida. Our amazing guide Adriana made our trip one to remember, with facts about Sierra Nevada, its population, history and nature. The beds along the trek were comfortable and the food that was served fantastic. I highly recommend Expotour if you are planning on visiting Ciudad Perdida.
