I loved it and I usually hate tours - I absolutely recommend this tour to get an idea of what Minca has to offer! The trek to the waterfall wasn’t so bad since we stopped a couple times to learn about the natural area. Our tour guide, Tony, was very knowledgeable and shared a lot about the natural world (he was a little negative about the state of the world and I wish he focused more on solutions and inspiring guests to take care of our home tho) . The waterfall wasn’t the most popular one, which I preferred since we were almost the only people there. The water was just perfect for cooling off. The coffee tour was on a very small farm and it was nice to support a small family. The trek to the coffee farm was my favorite part (but DO NOT forget bug spray. The sand flies will devour you! Bring an essential oil like lavender or thyme to repel them instead of Deet). The walk from the coffee tour to Jungle Joes hostel was the longest and most tiresome, I had to stop for more water in town. But we were greeted with the most amazing views, a huge delicious lunch, and a local guitarist. Then Tony taught us more about the animals of South America (this part was could have been shortened because by then we were all very tired) then we learned about cocao and how to make our own. I spent another $20 USD on coffee, chocolate, and Tony’s tip. Overall an amazing experience. I think you can book more directly by contacting Jungle Joes if you prefer.

Do it again! Memorable! - Gustavo, the Guide, was very competent and patient with our two young daughters! Great jungle hike, memorable waterfall swim and tasting of coffee, cocoa and local produce at lunch, excellent!

Minca - Great but also lot of walking to do and I’m 69 years old and it was very challenging for me and we held the group up as we couldn’t keep pace

Pretty good - This is a pretty good tour, a little expensive but it’s definitely a great experience. The transportation is kinda uncoordinated but they get it done. The chocolate experience is incredible.

Go On This Tour - Wonderful guide. He had a ton of information on the environment as well as the history of local culture. Of course the coffee was amazing and the cacao was the best I’ve ever had. Be prepared to hike! And bring a towel for the waterfall.

Fabulous minca experience - It exceeded all my expectations. We highly recommend it. Cristiano the guide, with clear explanations in English and Spanish. The lunch was very good and the coffee and caco experience was very sensory. Everything excellent.

Minca memories - This tour was very good for the price. Pick up at our hotel was appreciated. Our guides were knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The walk may be challenging for some but this was well explained and our guide always ensured our safety. It provided a broad perspective of the region, its culture, and environment. Lunch was provided and delicious.

Very good guide, BUT the tour price is exorbitant for what you get. - The guide is really good, enthusiastic about his topics and will surely teach you something new. Also, he is really confidently bilingual, something you don’t get easily here… However, the tour price is totally exaggerated, about half of it would be fair. So you can say it is not worth the money. Finally, the transportation at the end of the tour back to Santa Marta was very much disappointing. Very much waiting, then the driver dropped us somewhere in town telling the lie that he ran out of fuel, he took off and his friend drove us to the drop off. We arrived in darkness. Unacceptable!
