The excursion is a journey through the town of Minca, starting around 9:00. The adventure begins in Minca and involves a 45-minute trek to get to Pozo Azul. On holiday occasions, a different river spot with a waterfall would be our destination to prevent visiting areas that may be overly crowded with tourists. We’ll pause here for around an hour, where…
The excursion is a journey through the town of Minca, starting around 9:00. The adventure begins in Minca and involves a 45-minute trek to get to Pozo Azul. On holiday occasions, a different river spot with a waterfall would be our destination to prevent visiting areas that may be overly crowded with tourists. We’ll pause here for around an hour, where you can opt for a swim. A further 45-minute hike will take us to a finca where a typical lunch awaits you with a scenic view of Santa Marta. Yet another 45-minute walk will lead us to organic coffee plantations where an explanation of different processing steps and a taste of the end product will be given. Our final destination is the cultivation of organic cocoa, with corresponding explanation of its manufacturing process and a sampling opportunity. Approximate return to the hotel will be by 18:00.
