Arrive at Santa Marta Marina by 9:30 am and locate the SONATA boat @ Gate. The voyage begins at 10 am, and we can’t delay beyond 9:50 am. The Sonata, a 58ft cutter rigged ketch boat constructed in Taipei, Taiwan in 1979, accommodates up to 26 passengers. Relaxing and Adventurous - Incredible experience!! My wife and I were on our honeymoon and we chose this excursion and it was so memorable and relaxing. The sailboat ride to Bahia Concha was beautiful but what we enjoyed most is the ease of just being at the beach, snorkeling, riding on paddle boards and we knew our stuff was going to be safe on the sailboat. We had no worries about it which is what made the trip so relaxing. Our only complaint is that we did not spend enough time at the beach even though we were there for 3 hours. Lunch was also very delicious and we got to eat right on the sailboat. I would highly recommend this excursion if you are not looking to do something the entire day. It was relaxing and very easy. When you get back to the port you then have enough time in Santa Marta to set yourself up to watch the sunset over the horizon.

Memorable - It was amazing, the crew was so kind - were always willing to support me to ensure I had fun on my trip. It meant a lot especially because I was travelling alone and my Spanish wasn't the best; yet the conversations I had were so memorable. I am forever grateful. The beach itself was unbelieveable, I didn't want to leave the water!!

Pleasant trip - Crew did more than expected. Offered us drinks, lunch on the beach, some snacks and even fruit. Sailing was smooth and enjoyable.

Tayrona Bay with the best tour - We had an awesome experience on the sailboat trip. From the beginning Ana made sure we were accounted for and in the right group. The staff on the boat made sure we were well hydrated, or lunch orders were prepared, and everything taken care of. The beach was beautiful with light waves and easy to swim around, paddle board, and sunbathe. The trees have great coverage as well and having chairs on the boat and on the beach was a big plus. And traveling with a smaller group was ideal. I would recommend this for anyone with families and like groups under 25.

Beautiful views and lovely staff. - Beautiful views around Tayrona and the staff were so nice and helpful as we were the only English speakers on the trip. The beach itself was beautiful, however the masseuses did get annoying.

Very nice beach at Bahia Concha - We had a very pleasant sailboat trip to Bahia Concha, the crew members were very friendly and provided good service and assistance to passengers that got mild seasick. At Bahia Concha the water was clear and calm . Food was good, everything described by Trip Adviser was done except the departing time was cut down by an hour despite leaving the Marina 40 minutes late due to a taxi drivers strike.

Nice day on the water. - It was a nice day. Water was lovely for the sail and the swim. Not much time given to snorkeling and very little English spoken. So lovely day but if those two things are essential to you, I would look elsewhere.

Didn’t meet the expectations - We signed up for English tour but the only person speaking a few English words was a crew member from Venezuela. He explained to us the basic rules(restrooms, time for lunch). We were brought to one of Tyron’s beaches for 3.5 hours to stay there. When we tried to get in the woods, we were told it is prohibited. The tour probably didn’t buy the entrance to the jungles for us. The meal was OK. It was a boring tour, not educational at all. The crew was nice and respectful.
