Santa Marta - Accommodation Los Jaguares
Minca - Day 1

Santa Marta - Accommodation Los Jaguares
Minca - Day 1
06:30 AM, backpacks are packed for a 2-hour journey in a 4x4, passing through Minca to reach LA TAGUA.
8:00 AM. Breakfast is served, and the 20k trek begins. The trek takes you through pristine forested mountains to the Boquerón viewpoint, offering a stunning view of the Guachaca River canyon.
09:00 AM. A 2-hour descent leads to the Wiwa indigenous village of Wimake.
11:00 AM. Passing through Wimake, enjoy a lunch made with organic products grown by the indigenous community. Take the opportunity to learn about the community, take a photo with a local family, and continue to the Gringo’s pool for a refreshing swim.
12:00 PM. The ascent begins, encountering giant trees and some endemic bird species. With luck, mountain pigs (Pecarí tayaczu) may be spotted.
5:00 PM, arrival at (hostel Los Jaguares)
6:30 PM, time for a bath and rest.
7:00 PM, dinner and socializing with Don Pablo’s family.
Accommodation Los Jaguares - The Palace of the Clouds
Minca - 06:00 AM, enjoy an organic coffee and prepare the backpacks.
07:30 AM, breakfast is served.
08:00 AM, the 7K trek begins, following the waterfall route.
09:00 AM, a short journey to the Enchanted Pool for a spiritual cleansing bath before ascending the stone steps to Nymejan, a sacred and ancestral payment site.
10:00 AM, offering to Nymejan Mother Water, leaving a tribute to Mother Nature.
10:30 AM, enjoy fruits and snacks, then continue ascending to the Honey waterfall, and proceed carefully to the organic panela and cane honey mill to learn about the artisanal process.
12:30 PM, continue to the (Coffee Waterfall) and enjoy this magnificent waterfall. Continue a 2-hour ascent to the Palace of the Clouds viewpoint.
2:30 PM, arrival at Hostel El Palacio De Las Nubes, enjoy refreshments and lunch, followed by tea or coffee with a view of the majestic Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.
7:30 PM, dinner and socializing with the local family.
