Coffee is like fine wine - Our guide Pamela opened our eyes to the wonders of coffee production. She showed us how coffee can be as varied as wine in how it is grown and processed. So much so that I, one who cannot stand the smell of coffee nor drink it, could actually eat a bean of one of their honey fermented batches and take a few sips of another honey fermented batch and my husband, a committed dark roast drinker of thirty years, is leaving it behind for a lighter roast. We do not want to spoil the joy of learning for yourself. Take the tour and find out why you should want to know not just from what country your coffee comes, but also what farm and their process. Unfortunately, we chose to cancel the horseback part of the tour due to the weather. It was raining too hard to enjoy it. Our driver Gustavo was wonderful and patient. He pointed out sights between the two tours. We also enjoyed talking to him and getting his perspective on life in Pereira.
