Great Tour! - The day of the tour turned out to be El Salvador Memorial Day and church’s and some other things were closed but our tour guide made sure we understood the significance of Memorial Day for them and what families do for that day. To make up for the closures effecting the tour he added alternate activities. Very professional and very informative. I actually really appreciated the whole experience more knowing the information the tour guide shared with us as we seen the community leaving flowers at the memorial wall and just really coming together in support of all the lives lost. Very thankful to see people still have so much respect mutually coming together for the remembrance of those who past and/or disappeared. Then going to the fun stuff with the slide. It was a lot faster than expected so hold on lol

Thrilling - We had an excellent time on this tour. Our guide Herbert was very knowledgeable. He shared a ton of information about the history (old and recent) through excellent story telling. He had a wonderful sense of humor as well. We went at the end of the rainy season (Oct) so the weather was perfect. Good tennis shoes or strap on sandals with good support are a must. Visiting the historic center was hot (highly recommend sunscreen because majority is direct sun exposure) but the volcano was much cooler although a sweater wasn’t needed. The hike is very doable with a short but intense stair walk to the top. There is a place to catch your breath in the middle, where it’s most needed. The rainbow slide was thrilling. We only went for this. We didn’t eat there. Instead we relied on Herbert to take us to try pupusa. It was excellent!! Highly recommend this tour!

Family outing - Simply spectacular, wear comfortable shoes (it is the best advice I can give you). Take the necessary time in each of the places.

Best day trip - This was a great tour! Our tour guide Herbert was very informative and was nice enough to customize the tour for us since we were the only two people on the trip. He went above and beyond by giving us recommendations for later in our trip to. Also lunch was delicious!

excellent city narrator - Sr. Rafael is an excellent city guide. His narration provided a historical & sociological richness to our experience far beyond simply arriving at & walking around in different sites with the city & at Boqueron. Most highly recommend this private tour experience (it was just him & my wife & I).

Made sitting in a car with my family for 8 hours fun - First time in El Salvador and I feel like I was able to learn a semesters worth of history, culture, and ecology all in one day. Herbert was absolutely awesome and made sitting in a car with my family for 8 hours fun! Honestly, i finished the tour wishing I could have spent an entire weekend inside the national park. Herbert is very open to having conversations and letting you pick his brain. Awesome trip

Exciting, Informative, Fun - What a fun tour!!! It was very comfortable with air-conditioned van , small group , and perfectly timed to avoid the crowds. Tour guide (Herbert) was extremely knowledgeable of the history of the city, historical facts and figures, and volcanoes. He adjusted our tour schedule to make sure we got to do all the activities listed even if the weather changed. Bonus points for the tour being offered in English. Guide was very fluent in both English and Spanish . Highly recommend !!!

Epic times in San Salvador 🇸🇻! - Review - ☆☆☆☆☆  My buddy and I had an amazing tour of San Salvador by Osmaro "Oz" from Eco Tours Petate.  Oz was punctual on picking us up from our hotel, had a clean ride and spoke great English!   We visited some well-known attractions and locations like the Cuscatlan Park, Centro Histórico De SS, the National Library of El Salvador, National Palace of Salvador, Metropolitan Cathedral of San Salvador, Iglesia El Rosario, and Mercado Ex-Cuartel during the morning.   Afterwards, we headed out of the city area and made our way up to Parque Nacional El Boquerón where we hiked up to check out the beautiful view of a volcano crater.  During lunch, we stopped at this nearby local restaurant called El Ático Volcán where we enjoyed some delicious pupusa, some el pastor mini tacos, and drinks before we headed to the Picnic Steak House for our final attraction, the Rainbow 🌈 Slide!   Overall, it was a great tour and introduction to San Salvador and Oz was very knowledgeable about the history of each location!  I just wished my memory card on my Action 3 camera didn't fill up at the first location stop.  I guess I'll just have to book this tour again the next time I visit El Salvador 🇸🇻!  What a beautiful, developed, and historic city. Thanks for the tour, Oz!
