The night time tour of the Goose Game Path aims to highlight the origins of the Game of the Goose. It demonstrates that the Goose game board is nothing more than a miniaturized collection of what pilgrims experienced along the Camino de Santiago.
At the beginning of the pilgrimage, most people were illiterate, spoke different languages, and there were no maps, making the journey to Santiago overwhelming and dangerous.
The Order of the Templars was responsible for creating a real guide for pilgrims with the resources they had at the time: a board that each pilgrim could memorize as a bona fide ‘map’ of the journey.
