Highlights
  • O Grove - It is the cradle of the Rías Baixas, of seafood and Albarino wine. This stop with a sea view is used to enjoy the good food that the town offers. An hour and a half approximately to be able to eat.
  • Capilla de Nuestra Senora de La Lanzada - This mystical place, established in the 9th century, certainly deserves to be known in depth, accompanied by a nice walk. Its importance is not only related to its history, but its location must be taken into account, that is, on the shores of one of the most admirable beaches in Galicia. In all this, we cannot absolutely forget that this temple hosts and offers definitely popular moonlight rituals, which makes it even more unique in its kind.
  • Combarro - To arrive in this picturesque town, one of the most beautiful in Spain, located on the banks of the Ría de Pontevedra, we will cross part of the bay of Poio.

All this beauty is conferred on it by a giant rock on which it is built, by the granaries with which it is surrounded, by the houses that overlook the sea and by several typical Galician stone crosses, called “Cruceiros”, which are on the site.

Walking through the characteristic streets and squares of this place, therefore, one has the possibility of making a true and authentic journey through time, as well as visiting an area of great ecological value.

  • Isla de la Toja - This relaxing island, famous for its soap production and its thermal waters, is located in an area called « Red Natura 2000 », but it does not end here: we can find a small museum of the old soap factory and a fully covered chapel of shells.
  • Isla de la Toja - A tour over the sea, through which you will be able to admire and directly face the production of mussels, oysters and scallops; We will make different stops to be able to contemplate the troughs and then be able to taste a large quantity of steamed mussels accompanied by one of the best local wines and a good shot of Crema de Orujo.

Excellent Tour - A MUST DO tour. Lucia was excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable! We thoroughly enjoyed the boat tour! So much FUN and lots of mussels and wine served. My favorite was throwing mussels to the sea birds. Music and dancing on the boat was a blast!

Not to be missed, don't forget to do this walk. - It is a beautiful excursion. We had a rainy day, as is usual in Galicia, but it was still interesting. I would do it again.

Wonderful your. Highly recommend - The boat ride was a lot of fun. There was plenty of wine and other beverages as well as all the mussels you could eat. The scenery was beautiful and we learned about farming mussels and scallops. The vineyard tour was informative and the wine was excellent. Our guide Anna was great.

Fascinating trip through the Pontevedra province in Galicia - An excellent trip that contained a wide variety of interesting topics: an expert detailed explanation on how mussels, oysters and another one (I forgot it's name 🫣) are cultivated, and we got to taste the mussels, pittoresque villages, nice landscapes and a visit to a winery (+ tasting) as cherry on the cake

Long tour but glad we did it - Fun tour but quite long, could have been just as good a couple of hours shorter. Very scenic coastline, and great boat trip with all the wine and mussels you can eat. It seemed a little strange to me that they did this part of the tour in the morning, particularly since it started out quite informative but kind of turned into a booze cruise with music blasting out - I wasn't expecting that so early in the day. It didn't seem to faze anyone else, though! We also thought the intercom on the bus, which they used to give us information about the region in general, was painfully loud. I had a good time on the boat for sure, but it left me a bit tired for the rest of the tour, which was extensive. Could have skipped the church covered with shells, for one thing. Great to get out of Santiago de Compostela for a day, though, and see the beautiful coast.

Excellent day. Beautiful area - The boat ride & mussel tasting were great. Having mixed Spanish & English was challenging. Seemed a lot more was said in Spanish.

Great scenery - not enough English explanation - What a beautiful journey. We loved the tour and the many charming towns we were able to see. We were disappointed that there was not more explanation given in English. The guide spoke at length in Spanish and gave very brief information in English - almost as an afterthought. The visit to the winery was entirely conducted in English which was a shame. It would have been helpful to have some written materials perhaps to hand out to the non-Spanish speaking guests.
