• Basilica de Santa Maria de Guadalupe - This sanctuary of the Catholic Church is dedicated to the Virgin Mary under her title of Guadalupe. • Piramide de la Serpiente Emplumada - This is the third largest structure in Teotihuacan, an ancient Mesoamerican city located in Mexico. The building features seven sloped-tablero sections, and its western façade was adorned in the early 3rd century with sculptures of the Feathered Serpent, one of the oldest and most significant deities of the Mesoamerican peoples, later known as Quetzalcoatl.
• Pyramid of the Sun - Primarily used for ceremonial and religious purposes, the Pyramid of the Sun is believed to have hosted rituals related to the sun, rain, and fertility, which were crucial to the Teotihuacan culture’s worldview. Its central location and impressive presence made it a focal point for the community, where significant ceremonies and events took place. It stands as one of the most iconic structures of the pre-Columbian civilization in Mesoamerica, being the largest pyramid in Teotihuacan and one of the largest in Mesoamerica, highlighting the civilization’s importance at the time.
• Pirámide de La Luna - The Pyramid of the Moon marks the northern end of the Causeway of the Dead, giving it significant symbolic meaning. It is the most prominent feature of one of the city’s most harmonious urban spaces, the Plaza de la Luna. This expansive area, surrounded by 13 foundations with typical Teotihuacan architectural features, was once fully painted and served as an ideal setting for public rituals. At the pyramid’s base is Structure A, framed by two foundations, containing nine altars on the walls and one in the center, symbolizing the cardinal and intercardinal points and the universe’s center.
