Wine is amazing - The wine is amazing in both of the wineries. Our guide Valentina and the driver Alejandro are very nice. Answer all the questions and take good care of us. Highly recommend for non-Spanish speakers.

Learnt a lot - I learnt so much about wine on our tour. Eduardo was great and took so many great photos of us, which he sent via WhatsApp. Hermenes was our driver.
The wine from Concha y Toro was delicious.

Extremely considerate staff - I found Turistik to be well-organised, professional and extremely helpful and considerate throughout the day. When the only tour of the Concha y Toro winery available was in Spanish (my Spanish is moderate at best), Eduado offered to stay with me and translate anything I didn’t understand. Thank you Turistik!

Beautiful wineries - We did this full day tour while we were in Santiago for 5 days recently & would highly recommend it. It gives you a chance to get out of the bustling city & see some of the countryside. While both wineries are spectacular, we particularly liked the Santa Rita property with its beautifully manicured park. They have converted the original ‘summer house’ into a boutique hotel so you can stay there if you like (& it’s within your budget!) Our guide, Javiera, and driver, Octavio, were fantastic. Javiera is bilingual & translated easily between Spanish & English. Our guide at the Santa Rita winery was bilingual as well but the guide at the allocated time we did the Concha y Torro winery was not. Javiera accompanied us on the group tour of Concha y Torro winery and translated for us so that we did not miss out on anything - a very big thank you Javiera! One word of advice - the serves at the restaurant are large!

Absolutely Brilliant!! - I was in Santiago for a week, and I had a Sunday available with me for relaxing after a long trip from Tokyo to Melbourne to Santiago. I spoke with the hotel staff, and they kindly guided me to this brochure from Turistik. Upon speaking with concierge, I decided to book a tour. The booking was made 30 minutes before the tour departure time, and I would say it was a seamless process. Turistik accommodated to my needs and got me a seat on the bus for Maipo Valley Wine Tour: Santa Rita and Concha y Toro Wineries.
Upon arrival at the pickup point, I was greeted by the Turistik staff and guided to the bus meant for this tour. Eduardo, our tour guide did a roll call on the bus to confirm the customers, and my name was not there since I made the booking at the last moment. I had to show my printed ticket (thanks to Intercontinental for organizing print for me) for continuing with the tour.
After initiating the trip, Eduardo started the introductions, and we the customers were also asked to introduce ourselves. He provided everyone with necessary information about winemaking, the terroir of Maipo Valley. I found it interesting as it was a good refresher for everyone before actually indulging themselves in some of the great wines from this valley.
Within an hours drive from Santiago, we arrived at Santa Rita Winery (the third largest winery in Chile). This winery has a close relationship with the history of Chile so you must ask for 120 Patriots story.
After arrival, we visited the winery reception, where the Winery staff greeted us. We had a wonderful tour of the winery, garden, parks, mansions, church, etc. before finally ending up in the cellars for the wine tasting. We tasted three great wines and were offered a wine glass on a complimentary basis as a gift. We roughly spent three hours at this winery. There are a museum, cafe and wine shop at the entrance of this winery. The Museo Andino has some ancient artefacts that are must-see.
Before moving to the next winery, we had a nice lunch break at a local restaurant guided by Eduardo.
We moved on with our journey to the next winery - Concha Y Toro. This winery is very famous globally for its wines and a well-kept secret. The local winery guide showed us around while giving us an excellent history tour of the winery, its mansions, landscapes and family that owned the property. We then moved to the cellars where we learned about the wine casks, storage, natural fermentation of wines. Finally, we got an opportunity to taste three great wines here as well. We were offered a wine glass on a complimentary basis as a gift. After the wine tasting, we had 30 minutes of free time to check the restaurant and the wine shop before our departure for Santiago.
It was a long day, and after trying some great wines and having great food, the ride back to Santiago was short as most of us on the bus were sleeping. In no time we were back at our respective hotels and left with great memories.
Eduardo, our tour guide, was excellent. He is very knowledgeable about the wines and the local culture/customaries. He, very skillfully, managed to provide us with the tour guidance in Spanish, Portuguese and English. Alejandro, the bus driver, ensured that our ride was safe from pickup to drop at our respective hotels. I would say it was outstanding teamwork by Eduardo and Alejandro in ensuring all customers have a great day.
If I get a chance to visit Santiago, I would go to Turistik for my next tour arrangement and hope to see Eduardo as my tour guide too.
