Great way to see Valparaiso - Francisco was prompt on pickup at the hotel and after a few more pickups, we were off to Valparaiso! Francisco gave a running commentary on both Santiago, the road to Valparaiso and the towns themselves. There were opportunities to walk down the streets and visit the high points in the city. I wish we had more time to walk the streets and go up one of the funiculars. The trip to Vina Del Mar consisted of lunch at a nice restaurant (not included) and a visit to a monument and the floral clock. Would have preferred more time on the streets here too. Francisco made the trip and I enjoyed the very much. It is a good introductory to the city if you are not staying there.

CoastalVino del Mar and Valparaiso - This was advertised as a 10 hour your but came in at barely 8. As a consequence we seemed to zip past a lot of interesting sites. There were 3 of us and one was sick and stayed in the car except for lunch ( which was good value). I thought I was having an English speaking guide but as the other 2 people were Spanish speakers, the majority of the dialogue was in Spanish

A good first visit to Valparaiso and... -
A good first visit to Valparaiso and Vina del Mar to see the main sights - with time to plant your toes on a sandy Pacific beach, view various monuments, and partake of the fine views particularly when we stopped at Pablo Neruda's House. The group's mixed language needs were not a problem as the guide moved from one language to another with ease, so I never felt left out of the conversation. And a great recovery from a flat tire right before lunch time we picked up a spike on the highway from Santiago, so we were able to keep to schedule.

It would of also been great if we had choice for lunch. Lovely views but very expensive. I paid 35 Australian dollars for fish and chips and a drink. You need to be given choice for lunch.

I DEMAND A REFUND!!!!!!! - This, so called "tour" was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!! Here's a list of reasons why: 1. Mini bus had NO AIRCONDITIONING 2. "Tour guide" kept prattling on about the same 3 or 4 things ALL DAY!!!! 3. The only store we were taken to belonged to her friends ....... AND WE WERE TAKEN THERE TWICE!!!! 4. We were "Permitted" to leave the mini bus a total of 3 times .......... but after less than ten (10) minutes were ordered back on the mini bus each time. 5. We drove straight past the Fenicular and NEVER SAW THE BRIGHTLY COLOURED ARCHITECTURE or STREET ART. As an artist, these were the 2 reasons I chose this tour!!!! 6. WHY is a view of the shipping container depot considered to be a tourist attraction? 7. The "Tour guide" NEVER STOPPED TALKING!!!!! and absolutely destroyed any relaxation or peacefulness of the day. Basically, this particular tour was a TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!!!!
