Marvel not only at the breathtaking Andean landscapes, the Maipo and Yeso Rivers, but also at the awe-inspiring main source of Santiagoā€™s clean water, el Yeso Waterfall (please note that the visit to el Yeso Dam is subject to governmental regulations and is added as a bonus stop on the tour if itā€™s open. Itā€™s usually off limits due to safety precautions from April to September).

Breathtaking Waterfalls - The waterfalls were breathtaking! I love looking at the snow covered mountains and watching the water flow from the streams. This is a tour that you must take in Chile. We had plenty of stops and the tour guide Yahir was awesome.

The scenery at these heights was fantastic - It was a full day tour and the team was on time for pickups. The maipo region was very unique and beautiful. It was summer time in Chile (December). We would love to go back and see what it looks like in the winter someday.

Excellent trip - The Cajon del Maipo and Embalse el Yeso are great destinations in the heart of the Anden Chain. On the way through the Cajon you have a great view of the nature and can taste also the housemade empanadas. Getting to the Embalse el Yeso there you have a great feeling in the middle of nowhere and your are next to Argentina. Incredible Must-Do.

Good - We had a good time on the Cajon del Maipo trip with Full Tour. Our guide, Alejandro, was absolutely wonderful and did very well considering he had to switch from Portuguese to English the whole day! We were the only English-speakers on the tour, which we expected; and we also expected that we would not be included in the conversations because of that, but the downside of that was that there was a lot of lingering at each stop to allow for socializing. It was way too much lingering for us since we couldn't join the conversations! The other downside was that the tour had advertised the tour as including Embalse El Yeso, which was the site we were most interested in seeing; unfortunately, that was not the case. I contacted Full Tour afterwards, and they said Embalse El Yeso was closed to tours for the season because of safety concerns, but their website clearly stated that it was only closed from May to September. So we were very disappointed and confused that this had not been clarified earlier. However, I appreciated how easy it was to reach Full Tour via WhatsApp. They responded to all of my questions in a very timely manner and with friendliness.

Beware Spanish Only - Overall we had a good time. It was a lot of driving and limited time at the different stops. The guide didnā€™t speak a lot of English but we did get short summary. It would have been helpful to learn everything that was said in Spanish.
