• Santiago - We will walk from La Moneda Palace (start) to the entrance of San Cristobal Hill. This means we’ll spend some time walking, and the tour typically lasts between 3 to 4 hours (some people walk faster than others :P). Just clarifying to avoid any confusion. We’ll stop at all the places mentioned below as we walk ;)
• La Moneda - Once the mint-house of the Spanish crown, it is now our government palace and the president’s office (we won’t go inside).
• Ex Congreso Nacional - This former congress building from the mid-1800s features stunning Neo-classical architecture (no visits allowed).
• Plaza de Armas - The main square of Santiago (the city’s point 0). The “Damero” or grid layout that the Spanish introduced to the New World starts here as the main and largest square of the city. From here, the city expanded using this layout. We’ll visit the main cathedral (if it’s open) and see the surrounding buildings.
• Chilean National Museum of Fine Arts - A remarkable museum showcasing both national and international art, built to celebrate our 100 years of independence.
• Espacio M - Currently a shopping mall, this was once a grand palace belonging to a wealthy family around 1846.
• Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral GAM - A fantastic cultural center with numerous activities year-round (movies, theater, music, exhibitions, etc.) and a fascinating history.
• Cerro Santa Lucia - This hill was historically the main watchpost in the city (used by both Natives and Spanish for the same purpose). Today, it’s a beautiful park with a great lookout over the city and mountains (closed on Mondays, but there’s a plan B for that day).
• Casa Museo La Chascona - One of the three houses that Pablo Neruda (Nobel Prize winner in literature) had in Chile!
• Cerro San Cristobal - Located inside the Metropolitan Park, this great park offers many attractions, the most famous being the hill itself, but it’s not the only one ;D. This will be the end of the tour (we won’t go up the hill).
• Barrio Bellavista - A fantastic neighborhood with plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and the San Cristobal Hill!

The tour will start next to the presidents office and we will end by the San Cristobal hill, as we walk we will stop in different landmarks to explain current and past importance, some of this buildings/places are La Moneda Palace (presidents office) the ex congress, Plaza de Armas, Santa Lucia hill lookout, etc.

This tour is for 10 people max, they can all be together or separate as this is not a private tour (unless you want it to be private we can talk)
I have done this for over 11 years, i have a degree in tourism and also i went to school in the downtown area (i know the area extremely well) i also have a couple of extras courses on heritage and history.
