A GREAT OVERVIEW - I booked the tour through the hotel. Our guide was excellent. He had a lot of knowledge he willingly shared about the country and its history. We managed to see most of the districts of the city and after our 4 hours had an excellent idea about the area. It's interesting in that the city sets in a valley surrounded by mountains. The central park dividing the city is actually a small mountain, called the "sleeping dragon."

Good guide - Was very enjoyable, visiting a popular food market, given time to walk freely through a park, visiting a historic fort in the heart of the city, all accompannied by a friendly and knowledgable native tour guide who filled us in with history and recent events. Hector knows his stuff.

Great city tour of Santiago - Gabriel is the best! We did several tours with him. This was an easy/fast way to see the "must-do sites" in Santiago. Would highly recommend!

Knowledgeable, safe, friendly tour of Santiago - Gabriel was a very knowledgeable tour guide who was articulate in early history of Santiago to present. He was able to make recommendations of other restaurants and sites to see during our visit to Chile. We enjoyed his tour so much we booked another tour to visit Portillo and visit a winery. We especially enjoyed his recommendation to eat lunch at Vina Santa Rita in Maipo Valley the next day.

An Excellent Intro to the City - Professional and informative guide who made adjustments based on the tourists she had. Perfect overview of the city. Pleasant personality and obviously takes pride in her work. A must for first-time visitors. I highly recommend.

Taking it all in - Enjoyable and informative tour. Enthusiastic guide. Appreciated getting out and about to see things I may not have otherwise. It was great to be able to get out and walk to experience much of the tour.

Adequate tour - Adequate city tour. Gives you an idea about the city and its history. Could have been better if they had taken us on the funicular as part of the tour rather than taking you there then telling us we have to pay to go up

Half of the tour was sitting or standing around waiting - We signed up for an English-guided tour. The tour company couldn't provide us a pick-up time until around 8:30 pm the night before. Our guide, Stephanie, picked us up at the time as related the night before via WhatsApp. We were not informed the tour would be conducted in English and Spanish until the last couple was picked up, a total of 8 on the tour. There were stops/things omitted from the itinerary, i.e. the Jokey Club, changing of the guard, etc. We spent half of the tour waiting for the tour guide to answer the Spanish-speaking couple's questions and I'm sure they were just as bored standing around waiting for the tour guide to explain things to the English-speaking group of the tour. Overall, a very disappointing tour, we would NOT have signed up for a dual-language tour.

Stood up - Booked a half day tour of Santiago. Confirmed, paid, stood up. No answer at “emergency” number on tour ticket. Now wasted all morning and will have to fight to get refund? Better skip Viator.
