After navigating 40 curves, the journey leads to the mountain village of Farellones and its namesake ski center.
Here, a variety of activities await visitors of all ages, including skiing, a snow park, ski lessons, and restaurants offering delicious food amidst stunning natural scenery. Guests can choose to spend the entire day here or continue to Valle Nevado, the premier ski center in the southern hemisphere, situated over 3000 meters (9850 ft) above sea level.
In Valle Nevado, visitors can indulge in their favorite snow sports, shop at various stores, or take the gondola to the top of the ski tracks. A recommended lunch spot is the “Bajo Cero” restaurant. From Valle Nevado, one can also explore two other ski resorts: El Colorado and La Parva.
Instead of visiting all four ski resorts, guests may opt to ski all day at one resort. Equipment rental can be arranged, and transportation back to the hotel in Santiago is provided in the afternoon or evening.
During the summer season, the following activities are available:
• Gondola: Enjoy an unparalleled view of the Andes on a unique ride that takes you to the mountain’s summit, showcasing the region’s natural splendor.
• Hiking: Wear comfortable shoes, bring a camera, and experience the Andes’ magic. Ride the Mirador chairlift to the peaks and hike around the area.
• Horseback Riding: Explore the mountain’s best sites, such as the Las Bayas dam, Cima Lookout, Cerro Plomo, and Piuquenes Lagoon, all on horseback.
• Lunch at Valle Nevado’s Bar Lounge: Savor a delicious lunch featuring a selection of irresistible dishes.
We are delighted to host you in these magnificent places within the Andes mountains.
