Driver Recommendation in Port Antonio, Jamaica: Petey Garfield - Port Antonio is a little off the beaten track of North Jamaica beach destinations-so it's beautiful but not overrun. We enjoy staying at Goblin Hill Villas. Rio Grande raft trips and Winifred Beach are my top two recommendations, and there are the waterfalls in the mountains if you have the time to explore. Getting around Jamaica can be a challenge. We use local drivers. They know the roads to the last bend and pothole, and they are so much safer than us Americans trying to drive like Brits. Petey Garfield is the best driver in the Port Antonio area. He has been driving for 25 years. He drives a very nice new clean, safe, comfortable Toyota SUV. He is completely reliable. And he is a very pleasant knowledgeable man. He will pick you up or take you to Norman Manly/Kingston or Mobay Airport, and anywhere local that you want to go. He uses WhatsApp, his number is 1-(876) 363-7880.

Excellent transport and fun tour - Picked up right on time at the right place, easy communication through WhatsApp. Excellent tour guide and driver, super informative, funny, interactive!! Beautiful winery stop and tasting, then a small tour of Valparaiso before our efficient drop off at the port in San Antonio. Definitely better off than the cruise company organized transfer as we got to be picked up directly at the hotel rather than having to go back to the airport. Considering the added tours and winery visit it is a no brainer.

Very interesting - Beautifull views! The area is rich in fruit and large cultivated expanses. The landscape at times recalls Tuscany. Gives a sense of peace.

Get way to transfer to ship - If in Santiago and you need to get to the cruise ship in San Antonio, this is the way to go. You get to the ship in time to board, and you miss the line ups of checking in. You also get to tour some on the coastal towns and get a wine testing tour. It's a win win way to end your time in Chile. Highly recommended.

Keep expectations low…it’s transportation - This was a great way to get from Santiago to your cruise port. There a stop for a snack and restroom with a few nice gift options. Valparaiso was a lovely city to see. Unfortunately our included snack was missed as the restaurant was closed. We stopped by a beautiful winery. It was not a true “wine tasting” as one might expect but rather two pouring of wine that were consumed while standing. The guide was great. We agreed it was a pleasant way to get from point A to B.

Good thanks to the nice guide - We were picked up at the hotel on time to the minute. The "tour guide" was very nice, as far as everything was good. The built-in wine tasting was a joke, a toilet break planned shortly afterwards was a pure sales stop. Unfortunately, the driver of the bus was always the last... In Valparaiso we were then suddenly, unannounced, to walk half an hour uphill and downhill, which was not possible for many of the older participants. The tour guide then recognized this and changed the tour a bit. After a quick snack we continued after the bus driver had also arrived last. Bottom line, it probably wouldn't have been more expensive with a taxi and you could have saved yourself 3 of the 5 stays. The friendly guide saved the whole thing by providing a lot of information about the country and people.

Extra infor - Missed this on my last review and couldn't sleep, lol The Jalisco is good hotel overall but more family/children oriented. The Vallarta is more for couples but children could visit Jalisco. The Palace is the definitely the best hotel but you get what you pay for. The food is superior but so is the price. The Jalisco a few years ago, I felt served, watered down alcohol. I don't agree this time but if you don't request a better brand of alcohol you will get the no name stuff. Just ask and a tip always goings a long way. The Sports Bar is great in the AM for a great coffee and smile. Try the Irish Coffee, amazing. Thanks the young ladies working there it was a great start to my day. Give them a tip!!

Good value - Valparaiso walking tour could have been longer and lunch break was too short to enjoy .. I suggest to skip the flower clock stop to give highlights more time. Our guide and driver definitely scored 5+

The Itinerary was what we... - The Itinerary was what we wanted given we had a short time before embarking . Would have given it a higher rating if the guide is more experienced and gave us more information about Santiago and Chile during the 7 hours . All she did was photo stops .

Nothing particularly... - Nothing particularly special or very interesting. Guide (Victor) didn’t help much in that regard. Should have stayed in Santiago a little longer and taken Cabify or similar direct ride to Sa Antonio.
