Unforgettable experience! - This tour exceeded my expectations. Our guide Sara picked us up directly from our hotel a and drove us to the farm locations while providing interesting facts about the area along the way. We learned about the processing of coffee and chocolate from start to finish at two private farms with samples of both. We also made our own chocolate and was able to purchase coffee and chocolate for ourselves. A delicious and authentic lunch was provided. There was a short hike uphill to reach the coffee farm and also you navigate through the woods to pick coffee beans and cacao pods, so dress appropriately and don't forget your sunscreen and repellant. Sara was the most amazing guide and has a genuine passion for the farms and the families that own them. This is definitely an unforgettable must-do experience if you have any interest in chocolate or coffee.

Memorable experience at small farms - The chocolate and coffee farm experience was very memorable. I believe these are smaller less commercial farms than most tours. I went with my girlfriend and our guide was Laura. We walked up a steep but short hill to the coffee farm first, and met a very kind farmer. You get to learn about and see the whole process, including packing and tasting the raw fruit. Then we went back down to the chocolate farm. Andres, the tour owner, was there with another group and joined us, but it ended up being really cool to learn from him as well. This chocolate farm was the highlight for me walking through the trees picking 3 types of cacao plants and tasting the raw fruit before we made our own chocolate bars. It was hands on grinding the chocolate ourselves and choose the percentage cocoa. We also had a great Colombian lunch. Both Laura and Andres have such good relationships with the farmers and made the day really special! Laura was teaching us about Colombian culture the whole car ride there and back too. We learned about more than just coffee and cacao.

Highlight of Medellin trip - This is absolutely an amazing experience to visit coffee and chocolate farms. We learnt a lot from the farmers. Our wonderful guide Sara shared her knowledge and passions about the country. We enjoyed a lot from knowing the end to end process of coffee and love to make our own chocolate bar from the cacao fruit from the tree. The neighbourhood is very friendly and they cooperated to bring their products together to make a nice box of Christmas gift. Love this collaborated idea. I highly recommend this tour.

One-of-a-kind experience! - This was a one-of-a-kind experience that was the most memorable and special part of our trip to the Medellín area. Andres was a wonderful guide. He knew so much about the production of coffee and cocoa, and we learned a lot. The most enjoyable part of the trip was meeting the families and the people who owned the farms and seeing his relationship with them, in a short visit, we also made a connection with these people. It was wonderful to see how these tours can change the lives of the people while enlightening the visitors. This was a very personal, non-touristy experience. Get away from the crowd and experience the real country.
