Excellent Tour!! - Participating in this historic tour of the Colonial Area was an unforgettable experience. From the very beginning, our expert and passionate guide immersed us in the rich history of this iconic place. The tour began at Parque Colón, where we learned about Christopher Columbus and his impact on American history. Then we visited the Primate Cathedral of America, an architectural gem that, with its impressive Gothic and Renaissance details, transported us to the 16th century. We walked along Calle de las Damas, the oldest street in the New World, where we were told fascinating anecdotes about the first settlers and saw historic places like Fortress Ozama and the National Pantheon. Every corner has a piece of history waiting to be discovered. The guide not only narrated historical data, but brought them to life with stories of characters who lived at that time, making us all feel part of that past. In addition, he recommended local shops and restaurants where we could taste Dominican delicacies at the end of the tour. The tour also included quiet moments, such as a stop at Plaza España to enjoy the view of the Alcázar de Colón as the sun began to set.
