Best Tour of the weekend - Our guide Ruben was informative & professional, and the tour was one of the best parts of our trip! Our guide taught us a lot about the history of the DR, when Columbus and Nicolas Ovando arrived, the history between the Haitians and the Dominicans, and the key spots within the colonial city.

Amazing guide - interesting history! - We did the Zona Colonial tour with Ruben, an amazing and truly friendly guide with so much knowledge about the history of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and the Hispaniola Island. We really enjoyed our tour with Ruben and warmly recommend it to anyone visiting Santo Domingo.

One of the best tours in DR - Loved the tour so much! Super interesting and you get to know a lot about the history of colonial zone. Loved our tour guide Miguel, he was awesome! Just be ready to walk a lot, wear sunscreen, bring your water to keep yourself hydrated and don’t forget to wear comfy shoes. Definitely recommend this for sure!

Very informative and well presented - This tour includes a lovely two hour walk around town with an excellent guide, well versed in the history of the city and country, all the way from its foreign settlement in December 1492 to the founding of the Dominican Republic on February 27th 1844. Our guide was a very friendly Dominican who has lived his entire life in Santo Domingo. He spoke excellent English and very good German. All in all an excellent your for anyone who likes to get a feel for the soul of the city and it's founding.

A good way to get more insight into Santo Domingo's past - Eduardo was a good guide, personable and informative. Unfortunately, because it was a Monday, many museums were closed. Potential tour takers should be aware there was a fairly long stop at a jewelry shop where visitors are strongly encouraged to buy. But we did gain some interest in the city’s past, which was our goal.

Disappointing- would have seen more by myself. - Very disappointing: couldn’t see the cathedral as Sunday (this was not flagged) nor Fort Ozama as wedding preparation (I guess that happens) but no plan B (yet there were other things guide could have pointed out or taken us to) Super long visit of Casa Reales museum outsourced to a museum guide. Felt like they were running's down the clock. Guide was verbose, his English not great. Took 3 hours not 2, could have done it in 1. Really annoyed because I could have gone to the cathedral the day before. Now I won’t see it.

Tour ruined due to guide - Positives: tour company was accommodating because we had to move our dates last minute and tour guide was knowledgeable. Negatives: A bit disappointed with the tour. Our tour guide was knowledgeable but I will say he was sexist and disrespectful. He did a great job showing us around but several things bothered us. First he kept trying to upsell us to go buy art at different places. Secondly he touched everything in the museum which I thought was strange and you were not allowed to do. A complete disregard for the historical artifacts. Lastly during our tour he criticize a female museum employees waist for being too small and skinny. Then he compared her to another female, who had an even smaller waist, but said she had a bigger butt in a bigger vagina in the front. I was in shock, embarrassed for the employee ruined my experience to see someone so bold and grotesque and the way to speak to females. Sadly, I would not book with this company due to that experience.
